> 3 dayA delightful classic (60-years plus) you will love if you love diminutive children, Paris and art, the French language (even though my book is in English), plan to take your child to Paris one day, and if you want your child to see life as an adventure. I know a little one named after this book, so I knew I had to start collecting books about Madeline. The art and story will not disappoint even if youve never had your appendix out.

> 3 dayMadeline is the story of a fearless little girl lucky enough to grow up in Paris, France. She lives with 11 other girls in an old house...covered in vines, and she has a wonderful time scaring her care-giver, Miss Clavel. In the middle of the night, Madeline is rushed out of the old house and to a hospital, frightening her housemates but she somehow manages to make them jealous of her stay there. The book is easy to follow and the pictures are clear - theyre all VERY yellow, but are detailed and help tell the story. A classic everyone should read at least once. I would think anyone between kindergarten and maybe fourth grade would enjoy the story, with the two older grades able to read it themselves in addition to having it read to them.

Greater than one weekThis is a great replica of the illustrated Madeline featured in the books. Her yellow hat and blue coat are darling and her red hair completes the picture. A great find for any child who adores the Madeline series like I did as a child.

Greater than one weekMy grandmother brought this book when she came to take care of us while my mom was recovering from an appendectomy. I bought this copy for my son who just experienced an emergency appendectomy. Sweet memories

> 3 dayMadeline has been part of my library for 30 years and she continues to be one of my favorites. My Grandma introduced her to me and I actually named one of my dogs after her! My 2 year old nephew and I read Madeline over and over again and every so often, out of the blue, hell look up at the ceiling and say Auntie, the crack looks like a rabbit, and well both laugh. This book is a fantastic add to any childs library. It rhymes throughout so its catchy, but the words and story dont talk down to the child like some books.
