Madeline

I got this book for a little girl that I gave my Madeline doll to. It was the perfect pairing with the doll.

I have a young niece who is a reluctant reader. For a Christmas gift last year, she received a book each month from Librarian Aunt Donna. I chose Caldecott Medal winners. She loved every book I sent to her and really got into them. She wants me to send her more. That reluctant reader is learning the joy of reading and being introduced to some wonderful books. Madeline has been a classic for over 50 years. Madeline is an orphan in a boarding school in Paris. After some adventures, she finds love and a home.

This is my favorite Madeline book. I grew up with it, have memorized it from hearing it so often and now have the pleasure of reading it to my granddaughter.

After reading this and the other MAdeline books to my four children for years, i now have the pleasure of reading this to my grandaughter. The text and the pictures are wonderful.

This book was a childhood favorite of mine. I purchased this book as a new baby gift to friends who recently had a little girl and had requested favorite childhood books as baby shower gifts. I am glad that the size has remained the same and the color of the illustrations is so wonderful. Who doesnt love Madeline? She represents every girl who is curious and refuses to go along with the crowd. She would rather exercise her independence and, by doing so, gains the respect and admiration of all who meet her.

Great gift for my granddaughter.

I have always loved this book, and I bought it for my young daughter and niece as a Christmas gift.

This is a wonderful book that I enjoyed throughout my childhood, and I recently purchased it for my niece. The only complaint that I have is the book was bent when she received it. :( she is still able to enjoy it, but since I purchased it new would have preferred for it to be in new condition.

honestly, its a weird story for a childrens book. Maybe its the way its broken up for being a board book.
