Greater than one weekI bought this for a bathroom remodel project where I didnt have a lot of space for my large shop vacuum. I also combined this with a cyclone attachment after reading other reviews about the filter getting clogged. Even with using the cyclone, the main filter still clogs quickly and causes it to not suck anymore. The filter is easy to clean and get it back up and sucking but its still inconvenient.

> 3 dayIf you are looking for a cordless vacuum that actually picks things up and the battery doesnt die after 10 minutes, this is for you! I stumbled upon this when I was looking for a cordless stick vacuum. There are a few other popular brands that come up in searches, but this is advertised as a work shop vac and it was the find of the year! Makita is a very well made brand, and the same goes for this product. We have a 2,800 square foot home with mostly tile or wood floors. The floors are dark, and we have a white dog, so you can imagine my annoyance with white dog hair on dark wood floors. Ive been using this for over a month and it works great. Sucks up hair, cereal, leaves and junk brought in from the outside. You can use it with the floor attachment, remove that for corners, or you can remove the long stick arm and use it for a handheld on the stairs (which I do all the time). There is a separate carpet attachment available for order, which I ordered, to use on my carpeted stairs, and I like that attachment as well. I use it 2-3 times per day to touch up my floors, and the charge lasts most of the week! Would highly recommend this cordless vac!

Greater than one weekThis light vacuum is the greatest. Ive only had to charge it once in 2 months. Its super easy to use. No cords. Just gram, use, putaway. I LOVE this and recommend it highly.

> 3 dayI bought this because I was interested in a stick-vac and a friend recommended it. Since I have several Makita cordless tools I already had the charger and batteries so decided to give it a try. I’m very happy with it and use it frequently. It works very well on hardwood and tile floors but not as well on carpet which is no surprise to me. The storage bracket allowed me to conveniently mount it in my broom closet although it does not come with mounting screws which wasn’t a big deal for me, but might be for others. Filters are readily available from third party venders at low cost and are easy to replace. Battery life is good. The only downside is that there is a high-pitched whine when in use which is annoying to me. I don’t tolerate loud noises well so frequently use hearing protection when using this and other power tools and appliances. Since I frequently use the stick-vac to clean up on DIY home projects, I’m typically already wearing hearing protection so it’s not a big deal. I deducted one star for the high-pitched noise and lack of mounting screws.

> 3 dayI recently purchased a new Mikita drill and impact driver and noticed this handheld vacuum. My wife has been looking for a small cordless vacuum so I grabbed this with the idea I will have extra batteries that we could share. She wanted a small cordless for touch up jobs around the house that don’t need the big floor vacuum so we gave this a try and wow pretty impressed. For its size it really does a decent job much better than we expected. Noise level it is a little higher than a cordless drill so not too loud. Battery life seems really good as well. I picked up a spare 4.0 Ah battery to share between the Makita tools we have and the battery is still showing full after several uses. So if you have any Makita cordless tools this would be a good addition to your arsenal. It is great for quick cleanups or in between using the large floor vacuum. The floor attachment works well on hardwood floors and carpet.

> 3 daybought this vacum 2 years ago works good! not for thick or shag carpet great for hard wood tile or any hard suface works good on tight weave carpet perfect for me i dont have any shag style carpet, just wanted to add my review after reading others reviews. this vacum is great for quick clean ups before moping and maintenance! not for deep cleaning on carpets you really need somthing that has a motor driven roller brush for that. the plastic tank does crack and break as i saw on others reviews mine has some cracks. when i saw the cracks i odrered a spare tank for $15.00 havent used it yet but i have it just in case. very easy to use and light wieght beats having to plug in a cord and roll it up you spill you can vacum it up and put the vacum away in a minute or 2 very nice
