> 3 daySweet little vacuum. And at ~$75.00 for the tool only, at $99.00 for the kit, makes it a great deal including the charger and battery for $25.00. Great suck value for a portable vacuum. Has enough power to gobble nuts and bolts, screws, metal items, and of course anything else. I bought one for the garage and another one for inside the house. I have a smaller super horse power shop vacuum and another larger super shop vacuum but this fills in where you need less suck and no cord. Edit Dec 2019: Soon after I bought this (purchased 2), one had a crack about 1/2 on the canister. For a cheap and easy fix, and just to be cautious I spent a few bucks on a JB Weld Plastic Stick. Wrapped a bead around it to prevent it cracking further and boom no more crack/cracking. I didnt need to, it still worked fine, but figured why not. Other vacuum is doing fine. Would buy these again. For $100 bucks, with a charger, its a steal. I know they have the brushless replacements for this; however, its twice the price for just the vacuum sans battery & charger. If the canister does break you can buy new ones for around $10 bucks. Also bought the cyclone attachment for one of them. Kinda spendy, but man makes emptying it a breeze.

> 3 dayI just got this today. I put the tube on, without the floor adapter, strapped on a headlamp, and went bunny hunting. Dust bunnies, that is. I have all hardwood flooring and two dogs, so the dust bunnies collect everywhere. I have a great Shark rotator for when I want to really vacuum the whole house, but its a pain to plug in and maneuver. This thing is light and easy to walk around with, sounds good and works good. It doesnt have the power of a plug in vacuum, of course, but it will pick up all the little scraps and dog hair thats making the floor look dirty. Its very easy to empty, too. In no time I had enough dog hair to make a spare dog inside the see-through dust bin. It took a few seconds to empty it, and was intuitive. Theres a screen outside the fabric filter, so that makes it easy. I love it. Update: Ive had it now for a month or so, and my house looks great. Ive found missing socks in the dust bunnies Ive sucked up. It has enough power to twist in my hand when it starts, and it will suck a penny up the long tube off a hard wood floor. It picks up anything reasonable, and Ive yet to find anything that fits in the tube and wont go up. Battery life seems great to me, but I have a bunch of Makita stuff so theres always a charged battery around.

> 3 dayThis light vacuum is the greatest. Ive only had to charge it once in 2 months. Its super easy to use. No cords. Just gram, use, putaway. I LOVE this and recommend it highly.

> 3 dayDust cup is very small, filter inside takes up more than half the available space. Keep a garbage can handy for more than just a spot of dust. Not useful for vacuuming your car. Might be good for following your cat around, big Husky? get something larger. Just doesnt have the capacity to hold much. More of a light duster than a project clean up.

> 3 dayHaving cats and working construction leads to a lot of messes. I was always finding little patches of hair in my home and piles of dirt in my car. It was always a hassle to have to haul out the old corded vacuum or go to the car wash just to handle a little mess. This little guy can take care of all my little messes with ease and does it with convenience. I tried to go the cheap route and was let down. This is worth every penny. Good suction, great battery life, sleek design, useful included attachments.

> 3 daybought this vacum 2 years ago works good! not for thick or shag carpet great for hard wood tile or any hard suface works good on tight weave carpet perfect for me i dont have any shag style carpet, just wanted to add my review after reading others reviews. this vacum is great for quick clean ups before moping and maintenance! not for deep cleaning on carpets you really need somthing that has a motor driven roller brush for that. the plastic tank does crack and break as i saw on others reviews mine has some cracks. when i saw the cracks i odrered a spare tank for $15.00 havent used it yet but i have it just in case. very easy to use and light wieght beats having to plug in a cord and roll it up you spill you can vacum it up and put the vacum away in a minute or 2 very nice

> 3 dayCorners. This thing kills corners. Corners of stairs, corners of vehicles, corners of baseboards; whatever corner you can think of, with the fine tip attachment, it dominates these corners easily. This thing has the perfect amount of power with the fine tip attachment. As for large surface areas, dont even think about it. I use a traditional vac for large surface areas. The traditional vacuum blade attachment for this vacuum simply doesnt have the power to do this efficiently. Also, make sure to buy the Makita Cyclonic Vacuum attachment. It should come with the base kit, but its a small price to pay for a major upgrade. At my work, i pick up a lot of drywall dust, and after 3 months, I still have yet to replace the filter. Sure, depending on your use per week, you may have to clean out all the internals on a weekly/ bi-monthly basis, but this attachment makes it 10x easier. With this attachment, you can get away with clearing the cyclone chamber 6-7 times before cleaning the rest of the internals. Honestly, you might get more out of it before doing a full clean (a full clean I classify as a hot rinse of the plastics/filter, about a 5 minute activity). Im just a neat freak with my tools, so typically wash the thing out once a week (70 hour work weeks).

> 3 dayI have hard floors and pets. Sweeping up the fly away fur was tiresome. This is a much better solution. It doesn’t clean rugs very well, though. I bought the cyclonic attachment and consider it a real plus because it helps prevent clogging of the filter with fur. The description on the 2 amp battery said that lasts 13 minutes per charge, but I don’t find that to be accurate at all. I can vacuum the whole house with power to spare. The unit is a bit heavy, so I wouldn’t want a bigger battery anyway. I took off a star because I think Makita overcharges for replacement batteries. It is good though that replacement batteries are available so that this can be used for a long time.

> 3 dayThis works well, but yep observations; 1) strange to keep the trigger pulled while vacuuming. 2) the top part is oddly heavy because of the battery. Took a little to get used to it and now it’s all good.
