Greater than one weekThis works well, but yep observations; 1) strange to keep the trigger pulled while vacuuming. 2) the top part is oddly heavy because of the battery. Took a little to get used to it and now it’s all good.

> 3 dayI wished it was a little longer. Battery does last a long time. I bought it as a quick pick up for my kitchen floor. The pieces fit tight together. The price was right. I found it on one of their lightening deals around Christmas. My husband used it to clean his car. I don’t like it on carpet.

> 3 dayLet it be known I searched high and wide before buying this vacuum. While it leaves off a few things I think are indispensible (in a perfect world), I am reviewing it for what it DOES have. I knew before I bought it there was no headlamp, no stand, and had a trigger switch with no lock. BUT...I didn’t want to spend twice as much on a commercial brand with a crappy battery just to get those amenities. In my experience and for my needs an 18volt rechargeable is a minimum. This product has that, AND I can easily purchase an extra or replacement battery. It’s also easy to order more filters (which is prudent if you want the battery to last). I can vacuum 1000 sq ft (hardwood and tile) without losing suction, get ALL THE HAIRBALLS and crumbs in low profile places (like under the fridge), and it is super lightweight. The head pivots/rotates well enough. The one negative that other reviewers have mentioned is that it is NOT made for tall people - I’m only 5’2” and I can just barely extend it arms reach without having to bend over. I assume it will be great for car cleaning so that’s a plus. Overall I would definitely recommend this vacuum if your needs are similar to mine.

> 3 dayIve had this product for almost four years. Still works as good as the first day. Its great for dog hair on hard floors, and small cleanups. The battery which is basically a power tool battery still holds a charge as well as it did when it was new. A little unpleasant to clean out the filter, but as long as you clean it after each use, it wont build up much of an odor the way a vacuum cleaner bag will or some of the other hand held units that capture animal hair.

> 3 dayBought for an extended rv road trip and did not disappoint. Cleaned everything we pointed it at, and is able to get at all the small nooks and crannies in an rv. I have also used it on my stairs with similar results. Light and easy to use. The container fills up fast and requires getting your hands a little dirty to clear debris off the filter, especially pet hair. No complaints and no regrets with this purchase.

09-06-2025We love this over-priced vacuum and use it daily. When it stopped working after 3 months because of a dead charger, I expected a quick replacement from Makita. Instead, I had to mail the charger to a repair center and wait more than a month before they mailed the replacement! I called Makita and asked that they simply send a new charger but nope, they have a stupid policy and by golly they cling to it. Too bad because otherwise, I would be writing about to say how well it works.

> 3 dayI’ve been using this for about a month. Most of my use is for quick pickups of sand, spot cleaning, or cat litter. In Florida we have a lot of sandy soil. I have 4 dogs, and 4 cats with fur. The other pets don’t have fur, or hair. I DO NOT have carpet!!! This vacuum is used on my tile and laminate wood flooring. If you use this on carpet your experience may be different. I wasn’t expecting much since I had paid $80.00 for a different highly rated cordless vacuum, on Amazon. (Sowtech was horrible, it didn’t pick up much at all.) This Makita cordless vacuum works pretty good. I like that it’s easy to clean, and wash the filters. I’ve bought a better battery, replacement filters, and pre-filters. Later on I wanted to make sure I’d still be able to use the vacuum, so I made sure to purchase anything I would need replace. I do agree the on button should have some sort of lock for the bigger messes, but it isn’t that much of an inconvenience to hold the button. The charger is nice, and plays a tune when you have seated the battery properly, and plays again when the battery is fully charged. The battery does NOT last long. In my opinion, I think the battery it comes with, could last longer. I’ve only had it a month, and I have not had any problems with breakage.
