if you have used the Wii Pro Controler on Wii U, already you know its a great controller. Like the wireless pc receiver for xbox 360 controller, the device works the same way. I found the device self installs in windows, is recognized as a game controller. Not issues reconfiguring mapping using a program such as Pinnacle Game Profiler. Not compatible for Wii remote. If you are interested in the wiimote, I recommend the Wireless Sensor DolphinBar. Also a great product.

I bought this device so I could use my Wii U Pro Controllers with my Mac. Ive been using it for a while now and it works great for that purpose, assuming you have it set to Dinput mode. Just push the sync button on the device and any controllers you wish to connect and youre pretty much set. There is one minor issue with the way it reports axis information. The x-axis on the right analog stick is reported as a third axis on the left stick and the right stick only gets the y-axis. This is not a problem for games that allow detailed configuration of the controller, but some games may not work properly if they try to detect the sticks and dont let you set them up manually. I had this same problem with another Mayflash adapter I got several years ago. Not sure why they keep getting this wrong, but for my purposes it is not a problem. I would give the device a 5-star rating if it werent for this issue.

I struggled with the tutorial trying to get my wii u pro controller to work with the bluetooth stack drivers. Im pretty tech savy and got it to almost* work but in the end after messing with altering the driver code, it didnt work. I saw this adapter available and it really works GREAT! I would reccomend this product, has worked great for Steam games, and Ive been playing a bunch of PC games with my wii u pro controller! Worth the buy, works as it should, plug and play. No BS overcomplicated tutorials! Very happy with this product.

Works great, quick painless setup, inexpensive, I love it! I split my video gaming between a home built gaming rig and a Wii U console. I was considering purchasing an xbox controller to use for gaming PC, until I started researching if I could use my Wii U pro controllers on PC and this adapter does the trick perfectly and sames me money! I love the feel of the Wii U Pro Controller and with certain style games a gamepad just feels right (Im currently playing Gauntlet with it). I still play FPS and strategy games with Keyboard+Mouse, but this gives me more game play options for other types of games and allows me to give dual purpose to controllers I already own for my Wii U. Note: I think most modern games on Steam support gamepad controllers but only Xinput (not Dinput). With Gauntlet for example I have to use Xinput, which means only one of my Wii U Pro Controllers with this adapter. So for something like Lego Star Wars Complete Sage where local co-op play (2 people playing in the same room on one computer) I will likely have to get a 2nd one of these adapters for my 2nd controller for both pro controllers to work at the same time. If the game supports Dinput then up to 4 can be used on one adapter. This adapter allows you to switch between Dinput and Xinput (I cut the notes below directly from Mayflashs website) ●If the Input Switch is set to the Direct Input mode, the controllers are recognized as standard Human Interface Device. Your controllers can be calibrated at the Windows Gamepad Setup screen. Up to four controllers can be recognized by a single adapter while in this mode. ● Setting the switch to Xinput Mode will make it possible to fool certain PC games which lock out proper input modes from the user unless an Xbox controller is attached (for a list of these games, check Wikipedia). While in Xinput Mode Vibration Feedback is available. The drawback is that while in this mode, only one controller can be recognized by the adapter.

Very impressed with the plug and play functionality of this adapter. Im running Windows 7 and it had no problem picking up my Wii U Pro controller right off the bat. I was a little hesitant because Ive had some bad experiences with some of the 3rd party Xbox controller adapters but this one is the real deal. No lag, fast connect, zero problems with controller detection in games. This is the Wii U PC adapter youre looking for.

I was aware that I could get the Wii U Pro controller to work on my PC with a regular old bluetooth adapter, but this was barely more expensive and didnt require fiddling with as much software setup. To me, I thought the convenience of the item was worth it. On the PC everything seemed to work without any problems so far. Just a bit of light use over a few months, but at least initially its been fine for me. PC Games with the Xbox360 controller support recognized the controller fine. I used it a bit in FF14 ARR, and it worked fine. It also worked in some games that required Direct Input instead of XInput. So both functions worked fine for me. This isnt a knock on the product, but button mappings were a problem when trying to use with the PS3. Its possible to use for games that allow full button re-mapping, but most dont do that. TLDR: It works.

Works just as I hoped it would. It was simple to install and get running. I figured it would make my Wii U Pro Controller emulate a 360 controller, and the button layout would match for 360. I.e. Y on a 360 pad is the top button, but is X on a Pro controller. I figured with this that X on my Pro controller would function as Y did on my 360. To my surprise all the buttons were correct. What was Y on my 360 controller is still Y on my Pro controller!

I bought this adapter about 5 months ago so I could use my Wii U Pro Controller on my PC. It performs this task flawlessly, and without lag. It takes approximately one second to synchronize, and is recognized by every game Ive tried with it. I leave it plugged into one of the front USB ports on my computer, if that matters. It came with a DVD that probably has drivers on it, but I dont recall ever actually using it. The adapter itself has plastic construction with four small phillips screws and a fairly light cord a couple feet in length. Mine has a range of 20-25 feet, but you might get better range if you mounted it somewhere higher, since mine just sits on my computer tower.

Its really mayflash but anyway it works! Installed the driver from mayflash and Im currently only using one controller but I use directinput mode. Xinput, while good has one flaw - the two back triggers are really digital on wii u controller, so it wont work well on xinput. Oh well, I only use DirectInput though because of the cool software and it works better. I have two Xbox 360 controllers anyway and I bought this because I have x64 Windows and they block unverified drivers but this works. EDIT: After years, this device still works, but xinput is blocked on windows 10 x64. 4 stars because directinpt still works, and I use it only on skullgirls anyway.

Ive been really frustrated with Nintendo for the past seven years. When they announced the Virtual Console for Wii, I was really excited about having digital versions of the games I grew up with on a Nintendo console instead of PC ROMs. Unfortunately, a lot of the games I loved didnt make it. Then Nintendo announces Wii U and how its supposed to win back core gamers and cut the grandma crap. They release the awesome pro controller and promise new Virtual Console games. What they conveniently left out was that 9/10 Wii U games wont even support the pro controller and instead of offering new / more Virtual Console, they spit out the same old crappy NES games that everyone has already bought and played on multiple platforms millions of times. Wheres my Turtles in Time? Aladdin? Lion King? TMNT Tournament Fighters? Mega Man X 2 and 3? Mega Man 7? Street Figher Alpha? Mega Man and Bass? Pinocchio? Hook? I know that licensing has a lot to do with it, but Nintendo has some of the best lawyers in the world. Ive come to the conclusion that they just dont care. Instead of bringing back those great games and more, theyre just gonna keep spitting out the old Mario and Zelda for people to buy over and over. Wait, wasnt I reviewing something...? AH, yes. The pro controller USB adapter. Its excellent. It comes with some Gamecube-lookin disk, but I dont know why because it wont even fit in my disk drive. I just plugged it in, synced the controller and I was off. Mega Man X 3 with (in my opinion) Nintendos best controller. Ive tried to support the company that Ive been with since a kid in the 90s, but its getting harder and harder because Nintendo simply does not care about us. They made the pro controller to lure us into buying the Wii U, but hardly any games support it. They promise more Virtual Console releases, but its been one game (if that) a week. Seriously? Nintendo is sitting on one of, if not THE most legendary video game library, but theyre just going to trickle out crap like Balloon Fight and Vega Stakes once a week. So, screw em. Now I can enjoy all the games I want and get my moneys worth out the pro controller - no thanks to Nintendo.
