> 3 dayI use meross products for my entire smart home and they have been very dependable. This plug however just would not connect. I spent three days trying and switching between 2.4ghz WiFi. It just would not go even after multiple resets. I ended up returning it.

> 3 dayWe love this outdoor outlet and highly recommend it. It was easy to setup. It controls our bistro lights in our backyard through the Apple Home App and Siri. But unfortunately, I didn’t save the HomeKit label with code on the outlet. After a year and a half in the elements the label was not legible when I needed to reset it up with our wifi network. BUT Meross support was fantastic and was able to let me know the HomeKit code for our outlet after I had emailed them. FYI their support email is: [email protected] Thank you so much Meross!

Greater than one weekSetup was very easy using the Meross app. This device must be setup on a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Programming the device was quite easy with the app. Each outlet can be controlled separately or together. The Meross app is very responsive and has not failed over the course of 18 months on my other Meross devices. Syncing with Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTT was automatic. I have also easily added this device to a SmartThings hub. This wireless outlet is perfect for controlling outdoor lights. When not be used outdoors I plan on moving indoors to control a pair of lamps. All in all a great device at a very reasonable price.

> 3 dayI used to use a mechanical outdoor timer for my Christmas lights. I want to use a smart timer this year instead so I can control the timer from my iPhone. This is helpful if you have to place your timer at a hard to reach location. I was aware that this Meross smart Wifi outdoor plug was designed for Apple Homekit but I knew it also works with Amazon Alexa and Meross ios app. It has 2 outlets that can be turned on/off separately. I recommend setting it up indoor first before you place it outside. Setting up a Meross smart device is straight forward since its Meross ios app will walk you thru step by step. However, as this device is designed for Apple Homekit, you need to set it up in Home ios app first before you can add it in Meross app. Setting up in Home ios app is easy by just scanning the QR code on the side of the plug and follow the direction to add it into your home wifi. I don’t use Apple Homekit so I used Meross app to setup the timer for this plug in the Routine feature. After you set up the device in Home app, you open Meross app, click on the ” + “ sign at the top right corner and you will see it has an option to add the “Smart Outdoor Plug”. I hooked it up to my landscape light and tested it for 3 weeks. It went thru the California fire, Santa Ana wind, and rainy weather without any problem. In 2 weeks, I’ll have a reliable smart timer for my Christmas lights. It’s another 5-star smart device from Meross.

> 3 dayIve had smart devices in my home for many, many years now. I discovered Meross when needing an inexpensive garage door controller. It has been working flawlessly for over two years. Ive since purchased light switches and lamps and now this outdoor smart plug. It was very simple to get configured. The app (I use android) worked perfectly and walked me through the steps. Because I already have Meross devices, the Google home app picked up the new smart plug and I was controlling it with my voice with no trouble. My only complaint is because the Google home integration controls both outlets as one. The Meross app controls them independently. I think Meross should make the adjustment in the Google home integration to allow independent control of the two outlets. See attached images. Other than that, its a brilliant device!

> 3 dayThis is a sturdy, easy to use unit with reliable Alexa integration. Even though it’s only rated for 10 amps or 1250 watts, it uses a higher grade, weather resistant 14 AWG electrical cable rated as SJTW, 105C. The outlets are plugged with thick rubber caps that look like they’ll hold up well. Setup is simple, thanks to well written instructions and a good app. There’s a separate set of instructions for the Homekit users too. It has a handy notch to mount the outlet to the wall (though I wish this was offset so that the screw would be accessible). There’s also a little loop on the strain relief that can serve a similar purpose. The app is great. It does a good job of guiding the setup process and it seems to be written by someone who understands English like a native speaker. Once set up, the app has a couple features that are sometimes overlooked: a countdown timer so that the outlet will automatically turn off after X minutes and an option to turn off the LEDS. Plus, there’s a widget to control devices directly from the homescreen. Also, it has one essential feature that every manufacturer ought to have: a direct link to the manual. Alexa integration works flawlessly and the wifi range seems good. Alexa commands are carried out reliably and with no more than a couple seconds delay. Alexa routines also work well. Each plug can be named and addressed independently. The unit as a whole can also be named. (Hint: use names that sounds distinctly different.) Right now I have the unit about 150’ from an access point, going through half a dozen walls, in a RF congested area and I’ve had zero issues.

> 3 dayI use Apple HomeKit, everything I have is HomeKit compatible, and this works like a charm! I have an outside connected to my landscape lighting, and I have an automated to come on at sunset and go off at 2 AM, and it works perfect every single time! Great product, pretty good price! Works as advertised

> 3 dayThis was my first meross product in my Apple HomeKit. I purchased this outdoor smart plug because its one of the only reasonably-priced ones on the market compatible with HomeKit. I followed *all* the instructions and warnings when connecting it to my home network and it was still very, very difficult. I actually had to return the first plug I ordered because it absolutely refused to connect to my home network (I presume it was defective). The second one I ordered still took about *20* tries to get it onto my network and into the Home app. My advice: 1. Try over and over to add it to Home via the meross app. it might take > 10 tries with factory resets between attempts. 2. Once its added DO NOT try to move it to another outlet... I first performed the setup close to my wifi router to maximize the signal; then I planned to move it outside (it is an outside plug after all...) but when I did this is removed itself from my network and could not reconnect. I had to redo the entire setup outside and I dont plan on ever moving the outlet again for fear it will disconnect. 3. The meross app might warn you that its been added to Home but it was not added to the meross app itself - ignore this, after some time it will appear in the meross app by itself. After all of this hassle it seems to be connected to the home... hopefully it stays that way. I probably would not buy another meross product based on my experience with this plug.
