> 3 daySo far, so great! Get this kit, not just the all-metal tube and nozzle version. The block is much better than the stock version on my monoprice.

> 3 dayBuy this kit. But the hotend WITH the slotted block if you have a maker select v2 and want to upgrade it. Dont slack and buy just the hotend without the block, it ends up being a mess with having to use thermal paste and all to fit in the original block. This makes it so much easier and it all works perfectly together. Very easy to install, just be SUPER careful with the heater core and thermistor wires when you are messing with the hot end, they are brittle and can break without really taking care of them. Since installing this, I have had no clogs and it has been perfect. I did have some issues at the beginning trying to overheat the filament and then again when I plugged in the wrong fans so my extruder was getting super hot and melting everything before it could print. So watch out for human error. Machine error though, no problems. I recommend this as one of the must-have mods of this 3d printer. That along with z-brace mod, the power board issue mod, and a glass bed covered in pei film and I am good to go!

Greater than one weekRan more than a hundred hours on original not a problem. Made upgrade to see if it would better my prints... Jams in the tube... Not the nozzle... Every 3-4 hours. Not worth the money

Greater than one weekI bought this to replace the stock setup on a Duplicator i3 Plus. Followed the instructions and had PLA oozing out of the top where the sleeve connects to the block. Covered the whole heating block. I had to order replacement parts just to go back to stock. Not recommended.

Greater than one weekAll I can say is that this is the best upgrade I have made to my 3D printer. Besides the ability to print more exotic filaments that require a temperature above what the stock hotend can provide, the print quality on my printer has greatly improved. Following the instructions as provided on the Micro Swiss website, the installation of this hotend took me about 15-20 minutes and was rather easy to perform. By looking at the negative reviews of this hotend, I can tell that those reviews are the people that have not followed those instructions resulting is clogs and misprints. However, if you follow those instructions, this will be the best $50 you will spend for your printer.

> 3 dayIt seems silly to put a $50 hot-end upgrade in a $250 printer, and there are other upgrades out there which offer more bang for the buck on a stock Wanhao Duplicator i3 (like Z-axis braces). But this does what it says on the tin. Consider this if youve already done the low hanging fruit upgrades and/or if you want to print using media that require higher temperatures. Note: The instructions are clear and specific. Follow them precisely, every step, in order. Itll take you less than an hour.
