Very nice upgrade to my Monoprice Maker Select V2. Will probably buy another for my Plus. Print quality improved and prints PETG well.

I realize I am in the minority here, but I wasnt too thrilled with the Hotend Kit. I may have expected too much from it. I had much better success and 3D prints using the stock set-up on the i3 Plus.

This is a great upgrade. Ive been running this on my Wanhao Di3 for a couple years and have had no trouble with any filament Ive tried... which so far has included both cheap and expensive PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG from many different manufacturers. If I just factored in the cost-savings due to lack-of-trouble using less-expensive filaments, I could justify this hot-end alone. If youre running a Di3 (or a rebrand) I would also recommend the Micro Swiss CNC Machined Lever and Extruder Plate for Wanhao i3 (Full Kit)

So far this product has worked perfectly! At first I was skeptical because I heard about clogging issues on some forums, but I have had 0 clogging issues so far. By the way if anyone is wondering this is compatible with the Monoprice Maker v2 (Which is a clone of the Wanhao i3 and not the mini.)

It works wonderfully. I just made sure to follow the instructions from the micro Swiss website and it went together fine and has been printing fine ever sense with no issues. Love it!

Technically this was the wrong kit for my dreamer NX but everything minus the cooling block worked fine. If you have a dreamer nx get this instead: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C3HEQZC/?coliid=IIRBH4GGJLNWZ&colid=2DZL1KU0GVJZI&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it But as others have said, follow the instructions to the letter and make the adjustments as needed. Im getting good prints with 0 issues.

This works for Wanhao, Maker Select, and all other similar clones. TIP: Make sure both are screwed tightly into the heating block before use. I didnt, and I found that melted plastic dripped globs onto my prints and threw the print axis askew, ruining long hour projects. Also, dont use 200 heat, use 210 for best results with the All Metal Hotend.

Works great for higher heat filaments

This is Micro Swiss All Metal Hot end kit with redesigned cooling block for Wenham i3, Wenham i3 Plus and all other i3 clones with the following improvements: Slotted Clamping system No set screw to ding and damage thermal tube Significantly better heat transfer (this is a big one!!!) Easier disassemble and adjustments Precise control on bore diameter Micro Swiss All Metal Hot end Kit Features: All metal hot end upgrade for MK10 style extruders. This upgrade includes a modified thermal barrier tube and modified nozzle with modified cooling block. Thermal barrier tube is made from 2 different materials. The lower thermal break is made from stainless steel and the colder upper part is made from aluminium. Stainless steel was used for thermal break because it offers low thermal conductivity and aluminium was used for the upper portion because it has a lot better thermal conductivity, to carry away any heat from the filament. All metal hot end will let you print at much higher temperature than possible with original PTFE lined one. Another benefit of an all metal hot end design is more consistent melt chamber control. During slow extrusion rate, in PTFE lined hot end, transition zone from solid to molten plastic tends to creep upward creating more stringy prints. With all metal design a transition zone is always constant, being located right at the heat break. With fast extrusion rate, PTFE tube doesn"t have enough thermal conductivity to properly melt all the plastic coming out. On MK10 extruders that limitation happens around 60 mm/s, depending on nozzle size. All metal hot end solves this problem, plastic is surrounded by thermally conductive nozzle throughout its length. Orifice size available:.2mm,.3mm,.4mm,.5mm,.6mm,.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm Kit will fit: Wenham i3 Wenham i3 Plus Moonrise Maker Select 3D Printer v2 Moonrise Maker Select Plus Cocoon Create 3D Printer Kit includes 1 Plated Brass Wear Resistant Nozzle 1 Thermal tube 1 Slotted Cooling block Installation Instructions
