Works great, just follow the instructions word for word and then do a test print. Your first few prints may not end well because you have to have your retraction in the right range.

Works great for higher heat filaments

Took a while to dial this thing in. Still have some issues doing flexible filament but overall great end which is much more durable than the stock design. Not sure if I would buy this over as it limits my printers ability to print flex/TPU consistently but does allow me to print nylon and tougher materials with no worries

Improves the print quality noticeably over the stock Hotend

Obvious tool marks and plastic on the nozzle. Tube is full of some sort of cooled filament. I put the nozzle under my microscope and it shows heavy wear, gashes and pitting. This hotend has had quite a bit of use. If you are going to sell used stuff please advertise it as used. Will be returning.

All I can say is that this is the best upgrade I have made to my 3D printer. Besides the ability to print more exotic filaments that require a temperature above what the stock hotend can provide, the print quality on my printer has greatly improved. Following the instructions as provided on the Micro Swiss website, the installation of this hotend took me about 15-20 minutes and was rather easy to perform. By looking at the negative reviews of this hotend, I can tell that those reviews are the people that have not followed those instructions resulting is clogs and misprints. However, if you follow those instructions, this will be the best $50 you will spend for your printer.

This thing is a godsend. If you have a 3D printer and want quality prints, this is an absolute must have. No excuses. This works so much better than stock.

Ive only got a few days on mine, but so far its working well. It only takes a few minutes to install (maybe a little longer if youre not as comfortable taking things apart and putting them back together). I did add some thermal compound on mine, to make sure the cold end stays good and cold. I had to reduce my retraction. 1mm is working well for PLA. Ive been using 1.5mm with PETG and TPU without any issues so far (but limited prints). I did not have to change my temps at all - it seems to be holding very similar to my previous hot end. It does seem somewhat overpriced for the few small pieces, but ultimately it works.

I bought this when I was crazy focused on buying all the upgrades for my Wanhao i3, The install was super easy and took about an half hour, and there are videos showing install if you are unsure. I got stumped at securing the cooling block, which I forgot had a screw that attaches it and keeps it from moving. I have to say Micro Swiss makes a fine product and looks and feels like a quality product. I leveled my bed after install and I went right to printing and no clogs yet (knock on wood).

This is Micro Swiss All Metal Hot end kit with redesigned cooling block for Wenham i3, Wenham i3 Plus and all other i3 clones with the following improvements: Slotted Clamping system No set screw to ding and damage thermal tube Significantly better heat transfer (this is a big one!!!) Easier disassemble and adjustments Precise control on bore diameter Micro Swiss All Metal Hot end Kit Features: All metal hot end upgrade for MK10 style extruders. This upgrade includes a modified thermal barrier tube and modified nozzle with modified cooling block. Thermal barrier tube is made from 2 different materials. The lower thermal break is made from stainless steel and the colder upper part is made from aluminium. Stainless steel was used for thermal break because it offers low thermal conductivity and aluminium was used for the upper portion because it has a lot better thermal conductivity, to carry away any heat from the filament. All metal hot end will let you print at much higher temperature than possible with original PTFE lined one. Another benefit of an all metal hot end design is more consistent melt chamber control. During slow extrusion rate, in PTFE lined hot end, transition zone from solid to molten plastic tends to creep upward creating more stringy prints. With all metal design a transition zone is always constant, being located right at the heat break. With fast extrusion rate, PTFE tube doesn"t have enough thermal conductivity to properly melt all the plastic coming out. On MK10 extruders that limitation happens around 60 mm/s, depending on nozzle size. All metal hot end solves this problem, plastic is surrounded by thermally conductive nozzle throughout its length. Orifice size available:.2mm,.3mm,.4mm,.5mm,.6mm,.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm Kit will fit: Wenham i3 Wenham i3 Plus Moonrise Maker Select 3D Printer v2 Moonrise Maker Select Plus Cocoon Create 3D Printer Kit includes 1 Plated Brass Wear Resistant Nozzle 1 Thermal tube 1 Slotted Cooling block Installation Instructions
