> 3 dayThe Micro Swiss All Metal Hotend is amazing. I installed it yesterday on my Wanhao Duplicator I3 Plus and the prints I have been getting out of it are so much better than the ones from the standard MK10 nozzle. Really looking forward to putting some more exotic filaments through it. I cant recommend it enough. Get one, you wont be disappointed. Thank you Micro Swiss.

Greater than one weekEDIT/UPDATE The new nozzle managed 3 prints and then it oozed and clogged ruining another print, I emailed Micro Swiss about 12 hours ago and they have not responded to me. Spent the night reading and troubleshooting the issue. I tried totally removing and cleaning the parts. Then reinstalling, this time I made sure (as others have suggested) to have the metal tube flush with the cooling block. I happened to have a new aftermarket gear from Uncle chucks so I replaced my already brand new extruder gear. I eventually tried Thermal paste on the tube that sits in the cooling block. I ordered a new thermister which should arrive today and I will likely replace the heating element too just in case. The install instructions are not difficult for this device... Twist nozzle with fingers then back up half a turn install the metal tube until it bottoms out on the nozzle bring hotend up to 250 and then tighten the nozzle The idea is to make sure that the tube ends up mated with the nozzle so there is no leakage but I still have so much heat creep that the filament gets clogged within 10 or 20 minutes of every print since the first clog. EDIT / UPDATE: While the first one they sent me completely ruined my heater block and tons of prints, they sent me a new one and it arrived today. I installed it and it is now working beautifully. I will update as I complete a few more prints. ====================================================================================== This has to be the most frustrating upgrade I have done on my maker select. So far I have disassembled my whole hotend about 4 or five times. After the first couple installs I was having issues with my filament clogging. I ordered a new extruder gear from Uncle Chucks and once it arrived I took it all apart again and finally got the extrusion working properly. Now though during longer prints, the filament oozes out of the sides or top of the heater block. Between all the disassembly and oozing filament my heater block looks like crap now. The Ceramic insulation tape has completely deteriorated but not before ruining every print I have done in the last week by leaving Brown marks that look like burns on them. I contacted Microswiss and have went back and fourth with them. They explained how the device is supposed to seal and have said they will send me another one, if its an issue with the nozzle. The problem here is that the issues with this nozzle has created a situation where I now need to replace my heater block. I have as they suggested tightend the crap out of the nozzle and the inside of the block is a mess now, and the ceramic tape is gone too. Lets not even talk about the amount of filament I have wasted on failed prints since I installed this supposed upgrade.

> 3 dayIt works wonderfully. I just made sure to follow the instructions from the micro Swiss website and it went together fine and has been printing fine ever sense with no issues. Love it!

> 3 dayMy only regret is not buying this sooner. Printing 2-3x faster and with fewer issues. You will have to make some adjustments in your slicer - totally worth it in my book.

> 3 dayI realize I am in the minority here, but I wasnt too thrilled with the Hotend Kit. I may have expected too much from it. I had much better success and 3D prints using the stock set-up on the i3 Plus.

Greater than one weekJust finished printing hatchbox PETG filament with the Micro Swiss all metal hotend and it worked perfectly fine. I’ve printed with Matterhackers ABS and hatchbox PETG and had to problems at all. Once I tune my printer to go pass 260c I’m going to use the all metal hotend for what it’s made for.

> 3 dayDid not get a single print from it before it clogged up, fell apart when trying to remove it because it is not a single machined part but 2 parts held poorly together by threads that fall way short of acceptable, and it never went back together. Tossed it in the trash and will never again buy anything that says Micro Swiss on it. Poorly designed. It looks nice. I know other people have had good luck with this item, it was just a waste of money for me.
