At first I was pretty excited about this bag, especially how sleek it looked. When it arrived, I noticed it was ripped in the back. I guess I could have lived with it, but when I tried it on it was way too big and floppy with just a few things in it like a book, a binder and various school items. Once I put my 17 laptop in it it was just over sized and cumbersome. Testing it out walking in the house it was BANG BANG BANG against my hip and back. Cant imagine thats good for a laptop. Also its a little chintzy on padding in some crucial spots. Looks cool, but not very practical if you want to travel very far. Decided too many cons to forgive the damage which would surely rip further in a short time. Back to Amazon it goes. I will be buying another bag.

I had this same item previously for more than 5 years. I had to replace it because it was worn due to a lot of trips taken. Nothing was broken or tore. I looked for so many other options, finally I decided to replace it by the same model. I think the newer model has more features than previous and it feels stronger. I fully recommend this item to others. One warning, this is for 17.3 LapTops and it is big if you want a slimmer version.

My 17.3 in Msi for wonderfully. This had been on a few trips with me over the years and still in New condition. It has a lot of storage pockets which makes it more convenient.

Fantastic, sturdy bag. Easily fits my Alienware 17 laptop, adapter, tablet, books, snacks and other miscellaneous items. It has enough pen holders, pockets and compartments to suit all your needs. Be aware though that it can get surprisingly heavy when fully loaded. Its cushioned and padded enough that one wont worry if it falls from say a chair. I wouldnt want to drop it from a higher place though! I havent used the shoulder strap yet so I cant comment on the comfort of carrying it on your shoulder. The regular handle is holding up well and I regularly pack carry this thing around everywhere. Its a pretty good workout for your forearms! All in all I highly recommend this bag for the alienware 17 laptop.

This bag looks great and seemed to be of solid construction when I first got it. With what Id consider medium use and very light travel duty (as a carry on) the stitching attaching one side of the handle completely ripped free. I had a tailor restitch it with heavy duty thread and its fine again now. Padding does protect my Alienware and the various compartments are well laid out and useful. I wouldnt steer anyone away from this bag neccessarily but its not a must have either if you can find another bag that will suit your purposes.

Like all the compartments, but not sure Im keeping this yet. My 17.3 Alienware R4 barely fits. Its a bit of a struggle to get it put in the compartment. I have to pull on the corners of the case to get the laptop to fit. I may return this and get a case listed as 18 instead.

It fits snug, but it fits. I dont know who these other people are reviewing but this bag will hold a massive laptop. These people are paid spammers im sure to give a descent bag discredit. Beware... this bag is built well and seems to be good quality. If the Bag rips more than likely its bc you are not taking proper care or an accident happened. The bag does what its intended to do. Finally, a bag that fits my latop. Do not look at the picture or read the description. In the picture/description, the laptop compartment is 16in and there is a little area for the charger. However, they have revised this. The area now fits a large 17in laptop very well. So you can put your laptop on that TSA safe area and close it. So forget about that 16in in the description. It is a perfect bag for a 17in gaming laptop.

Love this bag. My Alienware M17x fits nicely, plus the expandable bag allows me to also pack a cooling fan pad for my lap, mouse, battery charger, and cords. Plus there are identified pockets for two thumb drives and one portable external hard drive. Other typical pockets as well for other stuff like pens and pads. Nice. Looks great too!

Fits like a glove...almost too tight !
