This was my first Amazon purchase. I needed a bag to fit my M15X (i7 model) which has HUGE diameters. Unfortunately, i couldnt purchase this bag anywhere in Australia. So i got this shipped to a friend in the US (typical how only the good products are restricted from overseas shipping) and he shipped it to me...and yes, it was worth the exuberant ($150+AU) shipping cost due to its oversized package. This bag has EVERYTHING you could ever want: * Great padding for your laptop * RF pocket to stop reception being received by your mobile phone (good for meetings and planes# * Quality adjustable strap * HEAPS of room for all your peripherals #you can even chuck in a netbook in the middle pocket# * Internal pockets galore #mp3 pocket, business card pocket etc...# * A nice design. Its a great balance between casual outings and executive meetings. And for all those looking for a bag to fit their laptop, if it can fit the M15X #i7) then it will fit most desktop replacements. You pay for quality and this is a fine example of the saying `what you pay is what you get. I rate a 5/5.

If it was only .5 wider for my 17r3.. it would fit perfectly. It fits but not much room for shock absorption

I like it well enough that I just bought a 3rd one. If you have a large heavy laptop, this is the case. Once a TSA agent knocked the bag with the laptop to the ground, no damage to the laptop or any of the other items in the bag, even though it fell more than 4 feet to the ground off the top of one of their testing machines.

Good because it’s a rare item from the size

There arent many bags out there that fit the 17 M17x laptop. This is sturdy and well built and fits the laptop perfectly. It also has room for other accessories, paper, a notebook, etc. There are many pockets for pens, USB drives, etc. However, the hooks/handles where the shoulder strap attaches to the bag seem slightly flimsy and squeak when carried.

I would like to say that this bag is great in terms of protection for your expensive laptop, perfect fit for the gear plus other light items you be willing to carry with you. The only thing I would like to change would be the logo, since it does not look professional. Other wise Ive been happy with it.

This was a decent briefcase, until the strap broke because of the cheap metal that they used in order to save a few cents. Update: They have replaced the strap. Still, its disconcerting that Ive only had this bag for about 3 months and its already showing some wear and tear.

It is a tight fit into the protective sleeve. This is probably due to the small, usb wifi adapter for my mouse. It sticks out a little so sliding the laptop into the sleeve hangs on the usb stick, which protrudes about 1/2 inch. Just have to be careful sliding it in. I love this case, very well made, and is good looking, love the Alien logo. I prefer a leather case, but they are not available any longer.

I hate to be giving this bag a 1 Star review because it is the best laptop bag Ive ever owned. Ive always had trouble finding a good 17 inch bag for my laptops, but this one is perfect. With that said, here is why Im giving it one star: I bought this bag on May 13 of 2015. On May 8 of 2016 (less than a year later) I noticed that the handles were coming off. The stitching that ties the handles and the bag together are not strong. I have not used this bag for heavy travel. This bag is basically used during my commute from home to work and back. I use it twice a day. Once to go to work, and one to go home. If using this bag twice a day for less than a year destroys its straps, I can only imagine what will happen in a few more years. So I contacted Alienware. After 10 minutes on hold I was met by a kind Indian named Wayne (cute isnt it?), who kindly told me that Dell doesnt have a warranty on this product. Despite the fact that it says Lifetime Warranty right there on the listing. Nope. Dell/Alienware took zero responsibility and then told me to contact Amazon. Luckily Amazon knows what its doing. It knows to appreciate the business of someone who has been a Prime member from the start. They admitted that it says Lifetime Warranty right there and agreed to send me a new bag. So if you want a good bag, this one is great! I just hope you dont need customer support from Alienware after the fact. If you do, dont bother: call Amazon instead.

Fits like a glove...almost too tight !
