> 3 dayWas intimidated since I needed this in the bathroom but was told by several men that I’d have to hire a professional. ( they couldn’t do it ). And of course there are never any studs where you need them. Not only were the instructions easy to follow but there are only a few parts to install. This 76 year old women installed it in 20 minutes. Works great and looks good

> 3 dayI cant say enough great things about this product! Im a 60-year-old active woman whos had both my knees and both hips replaced due to osteoarthritis. I wish I wouldve had this product prior to my surgeries! Though I dont use it as a grab bar now, I wanted this feature as I grow old alone. I just had my master bath gutted down to the studs, and I wanted my new formal bath to have lots of safety features without looking fuddy-duddy. This product is great because it combines function and form, yet doesnt look like a typical grab bar. I also like the fact that toilet paper can be changed so easily -- no more fumbling with those darn spring-designed t-paper holders! ;-)

> 3 dayThis has worked really well as a grab bar. My only objection is that I wish it would allow more room for the paper. During the pandemic, weve not had much choice in our paper and sometimes end up with the new fatter, shorter rolls. (who does Charmin think theyre kidding?) lol These fatter rolls rub the wall until the first 20 or so sheets are used. Other than that, it has worked fine.

> 3 dayThis combines two functions and looks interesting. If this is a retrofit project - Moen has solved the problem of no backer board installed in the wall. Moen includes a Secure Mount system with it so you dont need a stud or backer board for it to carry the weight for grab bar use. Needs an inch plus hole and the mount molly goes into/installs through that. The grab bar cover conceals the holes. The carpenters forgot to install the wood backer and new porcelain tile had already been installed - ouch! So discovering the Secure Mount molly system, in the package, was a lifesaver - one side is over a stud and the other side uses the mount. Designed and packaged with the customer in mind - am so impressed.

> 3 dayThis worked, placed where my old holder was, it already had extra mounting in place. Was not difficult for us to install. Got because my husband had a massive stroke & needed something to help get up. It works well. Ive even used...

Greater than one weekI like for things to coordinate, so I bought this to match my grab-bar towel bars. I didnt think that it would be very useful as a grab bar since I have a rather cheap cabinet to instal it into. I was really impressed at how strong the grab bar is, though - it feels remarkably study even screwed into our inexpensive cabinet. Its also much easier to change the toilet paper now - it just slides on and off. The bar is backwards for me - I had to install on the left side of the toilet - but it doesnt look odd or cause any issues. If you have mobility issues or are just exceptionally clumsy (like me), Id definitely suggest looking into this collection.

> 3 dayThis was actually easier to install than a regular grab bar. It looks nice and is dual purpose. It nice that my parents can grab this and I know it will support them.

> 3 dayAlmost everyone who comes over and sees this says its a fantastic idea, and they never heard of it before. I love having a grab bar to help stand up from being seated on the toilet. Also, replacing the paper roll with only one hand is fantastic! I love this!

Greater than one weekI had these installed to help my husband who is disabled. They are very sturdy and do hold quite a bit of weight as described. They are pretty large though, so still a little institutional looking but not as bad as just a plain grab bar. Delta makes one that looks less ADA but also has a much smaller bar to grab so if you need to get a real firm grip, this is the one to get. I would also do as others have suggested and install it so it slants ever so slightly upward so as to better keep the toilet paper on it. I have had the toilet paper slide off of mine a couple of times when it was bumped. Its only happened a couple of times so its not a real big deal but is easily avoided if you install it on a very slight slant. When we had ours installed, I had to remove a recessed toilet paper holder in one bathroom. Then we had the problem of what to do with the hole in the wall. A builder friend suggested installing an oak panel on the wall and then just drilling and screwing directly into that. The oak backing is screwed into studs and the toilet paper holder is screwed directly into the oak. Its very sturdy that way. We made the oak backing long enough to go over two studs to make sure this is sturdy. This meant we didnt have to drill another large hole in the drywall to anchor the toilet paper holder. In another bathroom, for some reason there was backing in the entire wall next to the toilet so we didnt have to worry about where to place the screws. They all went directly into solid wood so we didnt have to worry about making a large hole in the wall. If youre remodeling and have a choice, ask to have backing placed in the wall between the studs so you can screw items like this directly into solid wood, so you dont have to make the large holes for the anchors. The only other drawback was that this did not come with screws for screwing into studs or hard wood, only the anchors. I had to purchase long screws to make sure this was securely fastened.
