EDIT: After using a better drill bit and Blue Loctite on set screw,, the hole saw worked fine. Bumped it up to 3 stars and overall, disappointed but made it work. Drill bit did not center properly and even broke on a test piece. Will update after I use a different bit and am able to complete an actual cut. This is currently being used on aluminum, 1/2 thick.

So far I have only used the 2 1/8” to cut through 1/8” thick aluminum. It cut well. My only grimace is that one saw was glued tight to the foam below. The paper chart inside was damaged by the saws, my suggestion is that they could make it no blemish by giving a metal chart instead.

So i wondered why they give you two guide drills (that go in the center of the hole saw and guide it straight as you drill/cut because without it the hole saw would wander all over the place). Well mine broke the first guide drill within a second of starting the hole. And that was with minimum pressure as I am always cautious to start and add load slowly. The second drill bit went just as fast. I put a dewalt drill bit in there and that did not break so.... needs work I would say. After getting far enough for the hole saw to engage with the aluminum (1/4 inch, fairly soft Al plate) it chattered and tried to wander but the dewalt bit held. Still it didnt cut straight and instead gouged out an elliptical hole. Slowly. With a tremendous amount of noise. Now as you machinists know, aluminum has a high cutting speed and both steel and carbide bits will cut it cleanly but I hesitated to ramp up the speed much more as I didnt trust this bit not to come apart. Maybe I can save it for use on wood. I definitely would not recommend this hole saw for even soft metals like aluminum and brass. If I had an end mill this large i would have used that instead. So, maybe good for wood, not anything harder and the guide drills are not to be relied upon. Update: Seller has offered a refund but thats not important to me. I did take the bit to a friends machine shop and we put it in a 3 jaw chuck on a milling machine for the hell of it and fed it by hand and it did cut aluminum plate ( no guide drill required) without visible damage to the carbide cutting bits so I guess this qualifies redemption of sorts. When it cant wander it does cut so keep that in mind.

Made one hole through 5/4” decking spring came off and blade became extremely dull! If not for wood my mistake but it’s definitely a fight for the second hole!

I was originally happy that I found a cheaper hole saw compared to the EZARC brand I bought previously but the picture showed the result after the first use. All the carbide cutting tips that are welded onto the tool broke off from their welding. I was trying to cut through about a 1/8 sheet metal. Sheet metal 1, Mollom Hole Saw 0

Needed this to isolate broken screws attaching my deck stair treads so I could replace them. Using a 3/4 thick wood template to guide (could not use furnished centering drill as it would contact broken rusty screws) was able to remove old treads leaving the 5/8 core which I then split with a chisel and removed.

Bought two, and both drill oversized. One drills 0.20 oversized and the second drills 0.30 oversized. If you are drilling say a bolt hole, it’s a really sloppy fit. The quality of build was fine, but the accuracy wasn’t.

Not bad. I cut our kitchen sink that has 18 gate metal. It cut fairly easy. Would recommend

I used this to drill a hole in my bumper for a block heater. I thought it would take two due to quality, so I bought two of these. Turns out it is of great quality. I will use this for years
