Greater than one weekVery happy with this hole saw, super sharp. Leaves a nice clean hole in aluminum and plastic.

> 3 dayI bought this for sheet metal. It worked pretty well. I did have to go in reverse to get a groove going and go slow so I didnt rip the metal. Lowest priced one I could find.

> 3 dayI used my 21mm hole saw to drill 16 holes through 3/4” thick steel plate. Eight were set up and drilled on a Bridgeport mill. Eight were drilled by a cordless drill in the field. I did not notice wear or loss of performance at 16 holes. The pilot bit overheated since it drills faster than the hole saw. For thicker material, I recommend through drilling a pilot hole the same diameter, so the pilot bit can act as a guide and not have to work so hard.

02-06-2025EDIT: After using a better drill bit and Blue Loctite on set screw,, the hole saw worked fine. Bumped it up to 3 stars and overall, disappointed but made it work. Drill bit did not center properly and even broke on a test piece. Will update after I use a different bit and am able to complete an actual cut. This is currently being used on aluminum, 1/2 thick.

> 3 dayI’m in construction and have to drill holes in metal studs often. Regular hole saws get hot and don’t stay sharp for very long. This saw is just the opposite last forever, and is twice as fast. It’s a beast.

> 3 dayTCT holesaws can be damaged by impact. The box protects the carbide tips nicely. While I would have preferred a different size selection, this set is a good compromise for the money. The only thing I would like to be different is the shank. If the lower portion were a Weldon shank, it would fit in a magnetic drill chuck, enhancing usability.

> 3 dayshafts twisted off because I used a power-full commercial drill press. Use a light duty drill press or by hand & you will be ok. Cuts well.

> 3 dayPilot bit broke halfway through the single hole I needed to drill in my new stainless steel sink. Couldn’t find a perfect size replacement bit at local home store, so hole ended up wobbling and being wallowed out. Luckily what I was putting in (glass rinser) covered the oversized hole.

08-06-2025Bought two, and both drill oversized. One drills 0.20 oversized and the second drills 0.30 oversized. If you are drilling say a bolt hole, it’s a really sloppy fit. The quality of build was fine, but the accuracy wasn’t.
