I have done so much research to help my daughter with stomach pains due to constipation and gas. So many people recommend this product. I love that the ingredients are all natural. So I decided to give it a shot out of desperation and instead of giving her a full dose I ended up giving her half a dose. It worked instantly! I couldnt believe it. I use it every time she has an unsettled stomach, hiccups, or if she is fussy. For hiccups, I only use less than half a syringe and it does the trick. At first I tried injecting it into her mouth, but she would only spit it out. Then I tried injecting it into a bottle nipple and that worked. Then I tried letting her suck the product from the syringe and that also worked. Warning: this product is sticky. Be careful of spillage.

Helps my little one with hiccups. The dosage is a bit large but I guess it’s a good thing because baby let’s a lot of it dribble out of their mouth. A little sticky but doesn’t stain.

Prior to getting some of this gripe water, our 2mo old was very constipated and seemed to have other belly pain that the usual gas drops didnt solve. Now she is more regular and doesnt seem so uncomfortable, though not completely transformed into a super happy baby as I was hoping. (We have six children and most of them were very happy babies.) She had no allergic reaction nor did she refuse to take it. In fact, I think its safe to say she actually likes the flavor and drinks it down without any problem. I suggest you give two half doses first to check for allergic reaction before giving a full dose. Some reviews on here indicated that this was a problem for their babies. Now, we are giving her some gripe water at least once a day but much better than 6-8x daily of the typical gas drops we were using before ordering this. Lastly, I accidentally ordered two boxes (having two bottles in each box) but Im glad I did because we now keep one in diaper bag and one at the house. FYI: Mode of administration is syringe (a little inconvenient vs. a dropper).

I tell my little guy that it is an aperitif. Of course he doesnt speak any English, hes 6 months old. But he knows the little bulb when he sees it and opens up for his after bottle (yeah, hes still on a liquid diet) taste. Hes almost impossible to burp. This sometimes helps. Because after patting his back for what seems like 5-10 minutes Ill try anything that helps with the gas. He seems to love it. When he was younger I gave him 1/2 a dropper full and it helped a lot with the burping. After a while he seemed to get the idea that when mommy brings out the dropper hes got his mouth open like a baby bird. Since he is an easy going baby (I guess hell be a terror as a teen) it doesnt really make him any more easy going so I cant say how well it does with unhappy colicky babies, since he hasnt been one. What it does do is help with the gas and keep the easy going laid back baby mood going for a bit longer.

So, we got some Babys Bliss and it worked - but it sure was expensive. Amazons price is about half what they charge in the local grocery, and it is still expensive. The active ingredients are fennel and ginger. So I made a very strong decoction of herbs in the Microwave - 1 tbsp ginger, dried and powdered, and 2 tbsp fennel seed, and 1tsp cumin cumin and 1 tsp cardamom and 1 tbsp coriander, all whole except for the ginger. 1 stick licorice chopped up. I put it all in the microwave with 2 cups of water, and heated it on low for 15 minutes, let it cool, then filtered it through a double layer of paper toweling. This is much stronger than gripe water you buy, 4 drops seems to be enough. And it can be used to flavor your tea if you dont want to give it to your baby. But if you dont want to make it or dont trust yourself to make it, this brand seems to work. Our little grandbaby burps and spits up and cries. Even mylicon drops dont stop it, whether we put them in her formula or give them to her straight. A dose of gripe water, or a few drops of my recipe, and two things happen. First, the baby burps and does not spit up. Secondly, the babys tummy relaxes. You can put your fingers on her tummy and feel it is not tense.

*****EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!**** From now on, I will be purchasing Gripe Water from this Company. There was in issue w/shipping, which caused a delay in delivery. I was contacted by the company via e-mail immediately and not only was given an explination but was offered a deal in exchange for a positive product review. I was contacted on several occassions to be sure I received the product..... I love Gripe Water because its all natural and theres no need for concern over given my 8 month old daughter too much. *ONE NOTE I WILL TELL TO PARENTS PURCHASING FOR THE FIRST TIME: Be aware that one of the natural ingredients contains Fennel, the plant used to make soy. If your baby has a soy allergy be aware of possible allergic reactions. The warning is on the bottle. For my child, she was both lactose/soy intolerant & had severe acid reflux. She was on Zantac, rice cereal in her formula (only kind she could tolerate was Nutramigen). Ive given her Gripe Water without any problems since 3 months of age without any problem. I think they have to print that on the bottle by law. There isnt enough of the ingredient to cause a problem. I use it for gassiness, and now teething. Sometimes I give it to my daughter before I feed her so it soothes her tummy for the more acidic foods we try (shes on solids now and apple juice). VERY GOOD PRODUCT, VERY WONDERFUL COMPANY

This has helped occasionally with hiccups and general fussiness related to gas. I would NOT recommend using the syringe as a dropper, as this is very thick and my baby choked and had a very hard time clearing this out of her throat (took a long time). Very scary. Works better putting it in a bottle nipple and letting the baby control the flow. I highly recommend this method-be very careful if using the syringe that comes in the box!
