> 3 dayGripe water is really a must have for any household with children. This is great for babies, children, and even adults. We used this in at least 1 bottle a day for both of my children and rarely had problems with gas or colic. I give this as a gift to all new moms and each one tells me how grateful they are for it. They all love it. I use it for the older children when they have hiccups or an upset stomach. My husband and I also have tried this when our stomach was upset and I can tell you it works. I am not a fan of the taste (like licorice) but after you take it, you feel this warmth spread through you and almost instant calming happens. No wonder it works for babies! Try it, use it, buy it in bulk. I love the Mommys Bliss brand for the gripe water but am disappointed that it is not all organic. Elements of this are organic. It is still my favorite brand of gripe water and I believe the most natural of the ones out there on the shelves.

Greater than one weekI have a seriously gassy baby, she has been since the day she was born. So much so that we are dressing her as a Whoopie cushion for her first Halloween. Anyway, we had gotten the standard Mylicon drops, and they werent doing a thing for her gas. The doctor said the Mylicon drops do not work for babies that are gassy by nature, and to try Gripe Water instead. So, we did, and it worked! No longer was she tooting every 5 seconds, and writhing trying to get the gas out. She sucks this stuff down like it is candy, too. Probably because it does have some sweet ingredients in it, but she loves it, which is a plus. It is also clear, another big plus in case it starts dribbling down her chin. The only issue I have with this is that it is difficult to give to a baby right out of the package. It doesnt have any kind of dropper or syringe, and when you have to give a 4 month old a teaspoon of something, it isnt like she is going to take it right from a real spoon. We had to use the Mylicon dropper to dispense this to her. Kind of a pain to keep the dropper with the bottle. It would be much nicer if they just had the dropper built into the bottle top. I am confused as to why they dont. But, the effectiveness of the product is top notch, so I will continue to buy this as long as my baby is a toot factory!

> 3 dayI pretty much assumed Gripe Water was total hocus pocus because the bottle says its for anything related to fussiness, gas, or colic. This one is two bottles per package. Inside is a syrupy liquid that you feed to the baby in a dropper. The recommended portion size is 2.5mm. Ive tasted it myself and it has a sweet, fennel taste. The main ingredients are sugar, baking soda, fennel and ginger extracts. Generally my baby eats this pretty easily without much fuss about the taste. One gripe is that its sweet and sticky so it can get smeared on babys face or spit up a bit leaving a sticky residue. Ive tried it a bunch of times and its most effective when baby actually has gas. For instance, when shes finished eating and seems uncomfortable, gripe water can sometimes cause her to burp big. However, there are other instances when my baby was fussy from being tired and of course, gripe water was of no help whatsoever. So long as you dont think of gripe water as a panacea, and realize its best with true gas, then it actually sort of works. Updated 10/29/14: I took a swig when I was having a really bad gassy moment. I dont know whether it was a coincidence or related to the gripe water but holy cow, I was seriously feeling atrocious. The taste was as I recalled, vaguely of anise/licorice but it left this dry feeling down my whole throat. I felt exhausted and worn out from the whole gaseous experience. Since then Ive felt bad giving it to my bebe.

> 3 dayIf you have a child with reflux like I do than you will notice that they frequently get the hiccups. My daughter got the hiccups very frequently so we used the gripe all the time. However due to its consistency it did make her also choke very often.

> 3 dayWe love gripe water - the Mommys Bliss brand is great. I love that there is a top on it so you dont have to stick the syringe in the bottle and get it all sticky each time. I prefer this one to the Little Remedies kind for that reason specifically. I will say that its very thin (like water consistency) and its VERY easy for an infant to inhale. We had that happen a couple times and its very scary, so now we put the syringe in the side of his mouth and give it extremely slow.

Greater than one weekMy baby seems to love not only the flavor and taste, but also the comfort it provides. This has been a lifesaver for hiccups, general fussiness, and gas/bloating. Easy to use syringe for both measuring and feeding to baby

> 3 dayMy now 9-week old son has a mild case of colic. We have been giving this to him since he was about 5 or 6 weeks old. Im not sure if its the taste or the near-instant relief or both but it actually works for him. Ill usually give it to him if hes in between feedings and acts like his tummy is bothering him by wriggling around and tensing up. Or when hes crying inconsolably. After he takes it, I dont know if its psychological or the relief is that fast, but he will usually calm down right away (I also give him his pacifier immediately after). His pediatrician made a comment that its just pure sugar (which is not true and Im not sure why she shoots it down so quickly). She instead highly recommended giving him chamomile tea (which didnt seem to work and he didnt seem too pleased with the taste). This gripe water has very effective ingredients and works for my baby so well that I ended up subscribing to it here on Amazon.

> 3 dayMy granddaughter had problems adjusting to formula and while we were trying to find one that worked, she ended up with horrible stomach cramps and gas. It wasnt a constant problem, but when it happened it was heart-wrenching. After repeatedly hearing about gripe water on various web sites, forums, and reviews here on Amazon, I figured there was nothing to lose by giving it a try. The first time we used it, I just knew it was coincidence. She had been crying for almost an hour, and then less than a minute after giving her the gripe water (which she took with no fuss at all, even though we couldnt get her to take her bottle), she stopped crying, stretched, and started to fall asleep. To me there was NO WAY this product helped that fast, or that thoroughly. About 2 weeks later she was in the middle of another round of pain, so we tried the gripe water again. And just like before, she takes it willingly, and less than a minute later is calm, and ready to finish her bottle of formula! We used it about once a week, and each time it worked fast. One day she had hiccups... bottle says works for hiccups too.... while she wasnt upset, it was a bad case of hiccups and i could tell she was not happy about them. So, out comes the gripe water, and almost instantly the hiccups were gone. I am sure it doesnt work this great on all babies, but for my little granddaughter is has been a life saver, and I am a true believer now.

> 3 dayLife saver for our baby who has severe reflux. He is on Zantac as well but that is only doing so much and we try to not give him more serious medication. We dont give him the full dose (5 ml up to every 4 hours) but we adjust it on time of day (4 ml for his night feed before the long bedtime stretch, another 4 ml in the morning for his first feed when he eats a lot and otherwise spits up and cries badly, 2-3 ml every 4ish hours during the day when things are much easier for him). The ingredients were approved by our ped for long term treatment so that gave us peace of mind too. If he cries from the acid reflux (crying and unlatching while feeding) this helps within 2-5 minutes usually and he relaxes and is fine. The only issue is that this is rather thick as a liquid and he chokes relatively easily if it is not diluted with a bit of milk or formula. We have never used the dropper as that makes choking even more likely but the MediFrida but even with that and going REALLY slow and only pushing a bit in while he actively suckles he choked sometimes. Oddly enough the choking with this can occur 1-2 minutes after the last drop was pushed into his mouth, so it must be really sitting and coating. So I would urge you to use a MediFrida and dilute with milk or formula 1:1 or put it straight into a bottle with milk or formula if you bottle feed.

> 3 dayUsing this with my first born. He was VERY fussy due to gas so I bought this to help. My baby would breastfeed, cry right after from gas pains and we would give him the gripe water. He would still seem to be in pain afterward so I would still help work the gas out. Once he felt better and would fall asleep, he would release gas or have a bowel movement either in his sleep or upon waking up for his next feeding and would seem to feel better. After a few of these cycles, he doesnt have those horrible gas pains like he did before. I now just give him the gripe water if he seems to be a little more fussy than normal again and it seems to nip it in the bud and help with the next time he wakes up for feeding. I also noticed that it seems to handle his hiccups pretty much right away which is awesome (he hiccups a lot and is much more comfortable afterward when they are handled).
