Greater than one weekI tried this for my 3 week old and it did help tame his colic. It is clear and does not stain, definitely sticky though. We struggled with colic in our boy for 2.5 weeks then went a different route.......chiropractic. I realize that many people do not consider this form of care as something that could help but it does!!! The spinal cord after all is a bundle of nerves, nerves that feed into the digestive system among others. After 2 adjustments the colic was lessened to shorter hours of it. By the 3rd adjustment it lessened to being colic free for 5 days straight then after the 4th adjustment no more colic, so in all it took 2 weeks to be rid of the colic but only 8 days to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Use the Gripe Water, sure, but only to tide you over until your babys spine is no longer interfering with proper nerve response. I wish that I had given this a better try with my first, he had severe colic for several weeks caused by the formula he was on. As soon as he was switched to Breast milk the colic stopped.

> 3 dayThis is the only solution that worked with colic, gas and fussiness with both of my kids. The only con for us is that this gripe water is extremely sweet. I had to dilute with milk every time before giving them.

> 3 dayWe started out with little remedies gripe water but after running out we got mommys bliss because we couldnt by the night time gripe water on its own anywhere. This stuff is great! I wouldnt say it works better than little remedies but I love that we could purchase just the night time instead of both day and night. He helps our little one sleep better at night and not have so much gas problems. I highly recommend trying it if your babe suffers from tummy issues. Oh, one thing I did like more about little remedies is their dosage is a smaller amount...my son chokes a lot on it so we had to give it to him very slowly and it was much quicker giving him the smaller dosage compared to the larger.

> 3 dayIf you have a child with reflux like I do than you will notice that they frequently get the hiccups. My daughter got the hiccups very frequently so we used the gripe all the time. However due to its consistency it did make her also choke very often.

> 3 dayMy baby is extremely colicky and it would be really hard to soothe her. After reading all the reviews I decided to give it a try. Almost instantly she calms down and falls to sleep. I couldn’t believe it. This helped me out immensely and I do recommend it to anyone who is struggling like how I was.

28-11-2024I gave this gripe water to my 3 weeks old daughter and she choked on it. I had to take her to the hospital. The doctors said they had previous cases when babies have choked on gripe water. This mommy bliss gripe water was also recalled in the past by FDA. Please do your research before ordering.

> 3 dayI have had a hard time finding gripe water at the box stores near me so I am thankful for Amazon and it’s quick delivery! Gripe water is a life saver if you have a fussy baby or one with colic. I love that it is all natural and my baby loves the taste. The only thing I didn’t like about the double pack is the one stopper was not sealed in the package like the other one. I will throw it in the dishwasher and sanitize it.

> 3 daySo, we got some Babys Bliss and it worked - but it sure was expensive. Amazons price is about half what they charge in the local grocery, and it is still expensive. The active ingredients are fennel and ginger. So I made a very strong decoction of herbs in the Microwave - 1 tbsp ginger, dried and powdered, and 2 tbsp fennel seed, and 1tsp cumin cumin and 1 tsp cardamom and 1 tbsp coriander, all whole except for the ginger. 1 stick licorice chopped up. I put it all in the microwave with 2 cups of water, and heated it on low for 15 minutes, let it cool, then filtered it through a double layer of paper toweling. This is much stronger than gripe water you buy, 4 drops seems to be enough. And it can be used to flavor your tea if you dont want to give it to your baby. But if you dont want to make it or dont trust yourself to make it, this brand seems to work. Our little grandbaby burps and spits up and cries. Even mylicon drops dont stop it, whether we put them in her formula or give them to her straight. A dose of gripe water, or a few drops of my recipe, and two things happen. First, the baby burps and does not spit up. Secondly, the babys tummy relaxes. You can put your fingers on her tummy and feel it is not tense.

> 3 dayGripe water is really a must have for any household with children. This is great for babies, children, and even adults. We used this in at least 1 bottle a day for both of my children and rarely had problems with gas or colic. I give this as a gift to all new moms and each one tells me how grateful they are for it. They all love it. I use it for the older children when they have hiccups or an upset stomach. My husband and I also have tried this when our stomach was upset and I can tell you it works. I am not a fan of the taste (like licorice) but after you take it, you feel this warmth spread through you and almost instant calming happens. No wonder it works for babies! Try it, use it, buy it in bulk. I love the Mommys Bliss brand for the gripe water but am disappointed that it is not all organic. Elements of this are organic. It is still my favorite brand of gripe water and I believe the most natural of the ones out there on the shelves.
