Wow. What a razor-sharp edge, right out of the box! I only wish that Mora would make a full-tang version of this knife.

The feel of the knife was good but not very sharp

Its light weight and comfortable to hold and I find it easy to change my grip on it quickly so I would think it would be comfortable to handle for many tasks. I am just getting started in the world of knives and have only owned a Swiss army pocket knife and a maxcraft flip + utility combo knife that I like for work. I bought this so I could get a feel for a full size blade and hopefully use it on a camping trip if I ever find the time between work and school. Pros: - Its carbon steel so you can strike a Flint on it for fire which is always handy. - Its a 1/8 blade so it has no visible flex. However you might see some between the blade and the handle if you put enough weight on the tip. Just keep in mind this is a rat tail tang so it is a smaller piece inside the handle and it doesnt go all the way back. Still its solid enough - It appears well balanced to me which came as a suppose given the plastic handle. - The plastic sheath holds it pretty secure and for the price you can always get a better one if you find it worth it. - it came fairly sharp and I easily put an even edge on it to remove any dings from handling in the factory. Cons: - It came with two small dings in the blade but they quickly came out after just a few passes on the crock sticks. * No other cons as of yet but if something comes up I will try to figure out how to edit this.

I just used it once in field, washed it, dried on my pants and put it back in cover. I came home from field and wanted to wash in details after 3 hours and saw knife got rusting on small water droplets. I had to clean all rusting using sand paper on a brand new knife. :( very annoyed

I like all Mora knives! The Stainless Mora knives are the easiest stainless knife to sharpen Ive ever seen. For sure, no one makes a better knife for the money then Mora. Im not sure anyone makes a better knife period.

Great knife to have on hand. Especially for the price.

The Mora Companion Heavy Duty is a powerful tool for bushcrafters, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. Suitable for batoning, the Companion Heavy Duty features a thick, 1/8-inch (3.2mm) carbon steel blade with a slightly blunter 27 Degree edge angle for high load capacity and maximum sharpness resistance. The Companion HD has an extra large ergonomic handle with a soft high-friction grip. The classic scandi grind combined with high quality carbon steel makes the knife easy to resharpen. Mora knives made from high carbon steel achieve high hardness, sharpen easily and are exceptionally tough. High carbon steels are preferred in applications that demand durability and frequent regrinding. The material is harder than stainless steel, allowing it to hold a sharper and more durably acute edge. Mora Knives are made from high-quality carbon steel. The carbon knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891. Professionals worldwide trust the quality materials and fine craftsmanship of Mora Knives. Mora knives feature ergonomically-designed handles and employ premium-quality knife steel that is optimally adapted to the task for which the knife is intended.
