Morakniv Companion Heavy Duty Knife with Sandvik Carbon Steel Blade, 0.125/4.1-Inch

> 3 dayGreat knife so far, heavy but well balanced. I imagine the blade weight is the reason for the large handle others have mentioned; I find it provides a much more reliable grip than the smaller handled knives Ive used, but Im about 63 and this is the first knife Ive purchased that didnt feel flimsy or undersized. Along with the balance, I was able to shave a patch of arm hair with it straight out of the box, and it looked to have an easy profile for future sharpening. Noticed some small pitting in the steel about halfway up the blade, but it was far enough back from the edge that it wont be an issue until its seen a lot of use. Probably will want to check yours for this same defect, but when wouldnt you when ordering a knife over the internet? Definitely get the orange handle and sheath if planning to use it in a forest, excellent visibility for both.

> 3 dayI only used this knife four times so far but it does its job well. The knife has a very sharp edge out of the box which is nice.

> 3 dayOverall, a great sharp knife for the money. I especially like what looks to be the rubberized grip, so i can hold it nice and tight.

> 3 dayLove it! Im new to the Mora world (used to bigger, thicker and heavier knives) but, this is almost the perfect knife. So versatile. Light, strong, sharp and inexpensive. With my multi carry Kydex sheath its becoming my favorite knife.

> 3 dayIf you are looking for an inexpensive bushcraft knife that you plan to use, I highly recommend it. The blade holds a terrific edge and is easy to sharpened. I forced a patina on mine to protect the blade from oxidation, as Im constantly in damp environments. Though the knife doesnt have a full tang, batoning by striking the front portion of the knife is easily done. The blades spine is plenty thick and the sheath works like a charm as one which can be belt mounted or hung from the neck. For $20 dollars, this is one of the most useful, durable and well made knives youll find for your bush rafting adventures.

> 3 dayFor scouting these knives are the best. Sharp and with the high visibility coloring easy to find if you drop them. I keep these all over the place and totally worth the money.

Greater than one weekFirst off, I have been a lifelong knife enthusiast and used them in a culinary profession in years past. I am thoroughly impressed the craftsmanship of this knife and apparently from reviews this brand is highly underrated for price. Will purchase more in future, maybe even for the kitchen!
