> 3 dayIn trying to press the rivet in place on the chain, I bent the little screw in leverage handle. Works fine for what it is, but you have to put a ton of force into the rivet though.

> 3 dayI recently had to change my chain and sprockets on my 06 CBR600 F4i. I purchased the RK setup and a basic chain breaker. During my first attempt installation, it worked well but I did damage (bent) one of the pins from the breaker. I wasn’t worried because I was successful in riveting the chain. BUT I had to do another one of my bikes and Houston we have a problem. 525 chain and I bent/broke every pin that came with the kit. So now I was down a bike and had a dilemma, either I can grab another cheap breaker set from CycleGear or order the Motion Pro. I read the reviews and I always read the negative ones to see the complexity of the item. I decided to pull the trigger and make the purchase. I was so very fortunate that this breaker is worth every penny. Not only was it easy to use, the rivets that I made were professional looking. I wasn’t even worried about over riveting because the instructions were very easy to follow. Definitely a tool that will last many years.

> 3 dayIve used this chain breaker on two motorcycles, one with an o-ring chain and press-on master link and a non- o-ring chain with a clip-on link. It works very well overall. I found that when mushrooming the link pin on the o-ring chain, that I couldnt get enough leverage with the short handle. I ended up using a wrench on the body of the breaker to gain the necessary leverage. The product is built sturdily enough that there was no way to break it. This is one of those buy-one, use-forever tools. Anyone that does their own maintenance should have this tool. It comes in a nice carrying case and has clear to understand instructions which fold up neatly in the case. I did not experience any of the pin failure that the other reviewers had, perhaps I have a newer version.

> 3 dayThis thing is an absolute unit. Everything that I didn’t like about the cheaper tools was solved with this purchase. The case it comes in way smaller than any other I’ve had and could easily be carried on a trip. I have nothing negative to say about this tool.

Greater than one weekI have had a cheep chain tool from Harbor Freight and it was not even worth the $13 I paid, this is a well made chain tool that is not only easy to use but is well made. I have a 530 chain on one of my bikes and this took took care of it woth out a hitch. It will last a lifetime and do the job well.

> 3 dayIve never used one of these before, and with a little help from the instructions and a youtube video, installing a new chain was a breeze. I didnt use it for chain removal, since bolt cutters seem like a much easier option. I did slightly crush the magnet on the forcing screw a bit, but that was my own fault for not following the instructions closely enough, so beware of that.

> 3 dayMotion Pro makes amazing tools, and this one is no different. Do cheaper chain breakers work just as well? Totally. This one is just such a breeze. Even chains that dont look like theyll work with this thing get beautifully split-- no problem. Its one of those tools you dont think you care about until you really get to use it and realize how much easier it is to use than similar chain tools. For reference, I used this to blast off my 2021 KTM 890 Adventure Rs riveted chain to shorten and install a nice x-ring masterlink chain. After grinding one face of the rivets, I realized the rivets were slightly too big to nicely sit in the chain tools Break hole. I decided to try breaking it anyway, and to my surprise, this thing just ate up that rivet. Punching through the masterlink chain was even easier. It seriously took me 15 minutes to do a job that has taken an hour before.

> 3 dayMy 2006 CBR1000RR is the first chain driven bike I have owned. All others had belts or shafts. Seeing as this is a track bike I decided to go from the 530 OEM chain to a 520 chain. This required me to of course remove the old 530 stuff and install the new 520 stuff. When looking for a chain tool the choices were very confusing! There are so many different chain tools some even within the same brand! I decided to go with this one based on price and reviews. There are some chain tools out there that are cheaper and some much more expensive. Many had pretty bad reviews but most for this tool were positive. Never having had to break a chain or rivet one I really didnt know what to expect. With many inexpensive tools instruction range from less than helpful to down right harmful. Thankfully with the tool the instructions are clearly written and have nice clear photos. Having used the tool once I will likely never need them again but if I do the very nice plastic case includes a pouch stuck to the inside of the lid to store the instructions, a very nice touch. The tool comes with all of the parts pictured but it also comes in a handy carrying case to store everything when not in use. Another item the dont show is it comes with a second pin which is nice because I guess these can break. With the clear instructions and the nicely etched markings on the tool, using it couldnt be much easier. When I broke my 530 chain with the tool I didnt grind down the pins before pushing them out with the tool. I wanted to see how it would work without doing so. It worked great. That may not have been too big a deal as I pressed out the pins of the old rivet style master link. Im guessing the pins on those are a bit softer than a regular pin. When I went to put the new 520 chain on though I had to remove a link. I pressed the pins out on the new 520 chain without grinding the them either. They pressed out very easily. Riveting the chain was easy enough but I over pressed the first pin. Now I get to do it again as soon as I get another master link. Thats not the fault of the tool. As far as I can tell this tool is well made and should last a very long time. I do believe though it will only do 5 series chains, 520-525-520, which is fine for most modern sport bikes I believe. The thing to keep in mind is that Ive never used any other chain tool but If you need a chain tool for a 5 series chain I highly recommend this one.
