The fingers are not quite long enough to get the tire off the bead on my bike. I have a Adventure Tourer with spoked rims, and with this Tire Bead Breaker it still takes a lot of effort to break the bead as the fingers do not open wide enough.

This kit, paired with the appropriately sized Motion Pro axle nut lever tool give you a complete set of tools to remove your rear wheel and change a flat tube. I have a set on all my tubed bikes. Its lightweight and packs well. Great stuff. A bit expensive, but its a very specialized tool, and is well made.

I initially had purchased the steel, long version of these. Thye worked very well, but were not good for carrying on the bike when touring (which was my intent). These aluminum ones are what I should have bought in the first place. They are short enough and light enough to stow easily. The steel ones will stay in the garage, and these will go with me when I travel. They very easily break the bead, which is often the most difficult part of changin/repairing tires by hand. Highly recommended.

I have two sets of these - one on my Adventure Motorcycle and one in my Fanny Pack on the dirt bikes. They were great for breaking the bead on the trail side as well as in the garage. Had to swap out a tube on my Adventure motorcycle in the woods and this tool help we do it in 30 minutes. Light weight and strong. I highly recommend them.

Did the trick breaking bead on f800gs when I had a flat at end of day in a little town on AZ MM boarder

I was under the impression that this popped off all tires but i think it was intended for dirt bike tires. Tried to do my harley tires and ended up using my vice and c clamps to actually break the bead. The other end is a spoon and its too big to use on my rims without bending the sides of the rim down. Kinda useless to me.

Shipped quickly, fair price, below what other outlets are charging. Although I havent used these breaker beads I have no doubt this tool set will work. Quality metals, light weight, heavy duty design. Would highly recommend for Adventure Touring when you need to change or repair a tire when the nearest garage is 200 or more miles away.
