    Greater than one week

My cats have always consumed lots of water. Lots. I was looking for a bowl that didnt absorb water (as pottery can); one that wasnt metal; one that wasnt huge or too small; one that was raised so my cats didnt need to bend down so low; and one where the entire bottom didnt sit flat on the floor (which tends to pull spilled water underneath the whole surface so multiple daily cleanups are a little more involved). This bowl, with its style of two bowls secured bottom to bottom (it is all one piece), is raised to a height that is perfect for my cats, and only the lip of the bottom touches the floor. Happily, its heavier than I imagined. The design has led to fewer cat-drinking spills. It has withstood two sturdy cats insisting each should drink first and never tipped over once. Its surface is non-porous. I dont measure water-use by partial bowlfuls, but there are measuring lines on the interior. Im about to buy another so my cats dont have to argue over who gets to drink first. They certainly seem fond of it ... Im not completely sure, but maybe fond enough to drink even more water. ;) To Necoichi (Cat1st), どうもありがとうございます (doumo arigatou gozaimasu). To those considering purchasing this, go for it!

This has been perfect for our senior cat who happens to have kidney disease. With the water-fill lines I can more easily detect how much water she is consuming. Works great for my purpose.

It took my cat a couple of days to get use to this bowl. But now she loves it. I love it because it can help me keep track of how much water she is drinking per day so I can see if there are any changes in how much she is drinking. It is beautiful and so easy to keep clean.

I have two cats and they get a bit competitive about food and water. Plus, in the summer especially, they can drain their previous shallow water bowl before the end of the day. My old bowl was an individual creme brulee-type of ramekin and it was hard to tell at times if there was water in the bowl. Plus, one of my cats is a senior and I wanted to consider his joints. Before he was lying down while drinking or eating - causing stress as he had to scan the room for my other lurking kitty! This bowl is wonderful! The raised bowl lifts the water up about 2 inches, plus provides a much bigger basin to insure that theres plenty of water for my 2 cats to last the day. The jellybean design at the bottom I think helps the cats assess the bottom of the bowl, whereas the measuring marks on the side help me track water consumption. A couple days into using this and my senior cat is a convert and the other is somewhat skeptical. However, I think the benefits will become more apparent to their health as they adjust. Im confident enough now to invest in the raised food bowl as well. I definitely recommend!

Love the bowl, but I do wish it was widen to help prevent whisker fatigue. To me that is it’s only negative.

Cute and very well made. Thick ceramic. Bowl doesnt move with silicone bottom. Cute design. Holds a good amount of water for two cats.

My cats prefer fresh water, but arent so picky that I need a fountain. I wanted something that would be raised, not too large, heavy enough to not slide around, and could be washed in the dishwasher as needed. This bowl is perfect for my two cats. On warm days it holds enough water to last my cats a full 24hr day, but I refresh water morning and night at feeding times, anyway. I already owned one of the Neochi food bowls, so this was a no-brainer. These products are durable, attractive, and most importantly - good for the kitties. Raised bowls are more comfortable for them to eat and drink from, and the shallow food dishes prevent whisker fatigue. They go through the dishwasher wonderfully, which makes keeping a clean and sanitary food/water system simple. Im a big fan of all their products. I have two food dishes, a double tray, this water dish, and a single tray for the water dish. Ive had them for months now, and the first food bowl for over a year - you cannot tell which ones came first. They still look brand new. They are 100% worth the cost.

We have several Necoichi bowls now. The cats like them all. I cant say that having elevated food and water bowls has cut down the vomiting one of them does, nor has it magically stopped the other from sticking his paw in the water and flicking water around the room. But theyre nice sturdy, attractive bowls I recommend (always good to find ceramics not glazed with lead). I just wish this company would have put drainage holes in the bottom stand because its gross to open the dishwasher and find a half cup of foul-looking water collected in the inverted base. I always wind up hand washing again after that, not just the bowl but whatever dishes the water sloshed on while I was getting out the bowl.

My cat needed an elevated bowl for drinking water as he is arthritic. Did not know what hight he would need so bought several bowls for him. He has an elevated drinking station, a regular bowl, and what would be called a feeder with water in it plus this bowl all out at once. This cute little water bowl is the one he always goes to. The others are usually ignored so I would say this is his favorite. The other bowls will be taken up once I am sure he isnt using them. The bowl is really very artistic with little paw prints on the side. I purchased both the bowl with the little cat head in the bottom and the jelly beans in the bottom. It doesnt matter to him. He likes them both. There is also a measurement in the metric system (i think it is ML) on the inside of the bowl so I can tell the water level and lets me know how much he is drinking. For some reason it goes from highest numbers to lowest numbers. Maybe because I dont know that system, but I still know he has drank enough to go to another level. I am very happy I got this water bowl for him.
