My husband wanted to add more ports to our home system that was easy to do and without a lot of fuss. This plug and play model was perfect. PROS: This has a solid metal case and can be mounted if you would prefer. Setup was quick and easy and there was no major configuration. A trusted brand with a tradition for solid hardware. The switch was exactly what he expected with quality construction. 8 ports were fine for our house, but for a more robust system you may want to switch up to the 16. Super affordable. He would purchase this again... CONS: The LED lights are pretty bright, which would have sucked if we mounted it on our bedroom system. Cannot comment on tech support as we did not have to use it...

Great switch for the price

Product installed immediately with no problems. Works as advertised. Increased LAN speed somewhat over previous 4 port 10/100 switch.

Simple plug-n-play connection, comes with studs for wall mounting. Very nice led indicators that show you when you are connected with 10/100 or 1000 mbs. These indicators let me know that I had some older CATV cables in the system. When I changed the cables to CATVe on devices that allowed 1000 mbs, the leds changed. In our small architectural office we view large image files off the server -- this switch speeds up our work significantly.
