I bought this to help upgrade my relatives homes internet. Luckily their house was already wired with ethernet cat5e cable. I had to get this switch so all their rooms can get a wired internet connection.

This is easily the best basic (unmanaged) switch you can buy. I have purchased dozens of them over the years and have never had a single issue. The body is all metal, has anchor points for wall mounting in either orientation and gives you the performance you expect from a gigabit switch. Just plug it in and go. To top it all off, it is less expensive than many other switches with lower build quality.

Dead after 3 months. Will not purchase Netgear devices again. I should have paid more attention to other reviews that said it would die, but I have Netgear devices that are old and still working so I took my chances. The Amazon return was only for 30 days, so now I have to deal with the manufacture, and I dont really want this product anymore because it cant be trusted.

This is the perfect size for my needs. It has more than enough ports and was easy to install. There really no setup needed, just plug and play.

I needed more ethernet ports and thought I might have to buy a new router, but this was so much cheaper and easier. Very easy to install--just hook all the pieces together.

Happy to have the new switch for my home network. Would have been nice for the bandwidth utilization to more human readable. Would buy it again.
