NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

I buy it to replace an old Netgear EN116 (16-port 10base). Instead of any improvement, the unit drops our download speed 50% !!!! I test it in 2 different locations with the same poor result. So, I just repack it send it back for refund.

For a simple household network, this switch works well. Easy to install and set up. No problems with this switch, so far.

Order to deliver tok only three days. Connected everything to it. That is all! Works perfectly. Every equipment got their own IP from my router. No delay for speed of internet. Package looks great and setup instruction is clear. Love it!

Quick easy and reliable. Plug it in. Plug the Ethernet feed and cables in and you’re instantly good to go.

I guess you get what you pay for. Ive been using this switch since June 2021 and over the past week have noticed my connection speeds have decreased quite a bit.

With kids doing home school and me trying to work from home, we needed more than just wifi connections. Added an unmanaged 8 port switch into my home patch panel giving the kids network drops in their rooms for much faster and cleaner connections that reduced any congestion on our modem/router. Simply had to plug in the network cables and power and BOOM speedy internet around the house.

The cumulative port speed has reduced our thin-client from crashing or requiring a network reboot.

Bought a couple of these to use around my house in various places for my in-home network. price per port was very attractive compared to competitors.
