> 3 dayFinally using FIOs and realized my old switch in the office was 100 MB so not delivering full speed to my ethernet connected computers (it was fine for the printers and other devices). Swap over the cables, plug it in, Gigabit speed. Like all Netgear, well made, and it just works.

> 3 dayFrom a performance, reliability, construction aspect, this is a no-brainer. Ive had a number of these and theyre sturdy metal workhorses. Im not worried about this thing flaking out on me anytime soon.

> 3 dayExcellent quality managed L2 switch! The built-in vLAN capability is very useful if you don’t have that setup at the gateway layer. Having used several other brands of managed switches, I feel this Netgear switch has the same (if not more) features as others and costs much less.

> 3 dayI bought this one to upgrade the old 100M Netgear un-managed switch for a small office. Pretty much just plug and go. Not sure how long it will last. However, based on the previous Netgear switch that I replaced with this one, I assume it should last pretty long.

> 3 dayI had an older 8-channel ethernet switch which seemed to have occasional dropouts. It was also running warm. This was truly plug and play. I did not have to anything other than plug it into an AC outlet then plug in the ethernet cables and it worked as it was supposed to.
