Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

> 3 dayObviously it works with a Switch. But it also works with Steam, over regular bluetooth. Steam even lets you swap the a/b and x/y buttons to make it like *every other controller* where the bottom button is yes and the right button is no. Not only that, it works with Steam Link on android, which passes the full controls through, meaning you dont need any special configuration on the Android side, the Steam configs work just like they do when you connect it directly. Im super happy with this setup, it lets me have one controller for all my games, no matter what Im playing them on.

> 3 dayYou have to be extremely careful buying these controller these days. There are some crazy good knockoffs out there which include the nintendo branding. After a lot of research in spotting fakes, so much as to open the controller. And Ive come to the conclusion that these are legitimate nintendo controllers. Still, I highly recommend learning how to spot fakes before making the purchase. These are definitely not cheap controllers and there are a lot of counterfeits out there!

> 3 dayWas exactly what was advertised and works great with the console. One issue I have run into is when using it with any kind of emulator on the computer, the joy stick does not seem to be calibrated correctly. Using the OpenEmu emulator, during many games the character will not go into a full run forwards, and will go ridiculously fast if I pull back making them go in reverse. I do not notice this with the games on the consoles I’ve played on, so maybe they are able to adjust for the miscalibration while the computer programs just can’t seem to calibrate it totally correctly. My solution has been to switch the controls to the D-pad while playing emulated games. Overall, it’s great though, and much more comfortable than the joy-con controllers that come with the Switch.

Greater than one weekI guess you pay for what you get. It’s more expensive then the ps controllers and that thing is expensive already. But will I buy again? Hell yea. Only down side is price is all I can say.

> 3 dayI ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! TAKE MY MONEY, NINTENDO! THE GOOD: Really good bluetooth range, no input interruption while playing the Switch docked from about 10 feet away. Feels great in my hand, and the larger buttons are nice. The D-pad is very responsive and feels as good as the classic D-pads Nintendo has made in the past. Pairing was a cinch and the battery last a long time on one charge. THE BAD: Only bad things I can say about the Pro controller is #1, its expensive! #2, that its hard to go from the pro back to the joy-cons because the pro feels SO good in your hand. But maybe thats more of a bad for the joy-cons and not the pro, haha. OVERALL: If you are a gamer, you will love the pro controller. The pro will feel much better in an adult hand, but not so big that a child cant use it. My 4 year old uses it all the time too and loves it.

> 3 dayThis is the best you can get, I’ve tried many other options. It’s smooth, feels great, and battery life lasts days. I’ve never had it die on me while playing. I’ll play for 12+ hours and just charge it before bed.

> 3 dayOne thing that held me up from playing our Switch were the terrible controllers that come with it. For my large hands, they are impossible to use singly, and even when mounted together, the spacing is way off and strange. With Smash Brothers Ultimate being released in December, these controllers were a necessity. They fit the hands nicely, they are well built, and I feel like I have finer control over any game I play. Docked one star for the cost. Seriously, Nintendo? Drop $20 off the cost and Id give five stars. One nice feature is that they can be charged with a common USB-C cable, meaning that we no longer have to spend money on proprietary power supplies.

> 3 dayI bought my Switch last year for Christmas for me from my husband ♥️. I love playing the Zelda games. The Joy controls took a little getting used to. I dont hate them but I dont love them either. I definitely did not want a corded controller, so the Pro A or Horipad wasnt an option (I think that is what they are called) so I just got used to the Joy con controls. My husband has really big hands so he really has a difficult time playing with the Joy Cons. He doesnt play the Switch that often so it wasnt a big deal. I didnt realize the Pro Controller had come out until recently but I didnt really want to spend the money at the time. However, I just saw that it was on sale after I bought Lets go Eevee so I hit the buy it now button and I am really glad I did!!!! The controller is set just like a pair of Joy Cons so no trying to remember a new pattern. It fits very comfortable in my hands and my husbands hands. Similar in design as the Xbox and PlayStation controls (see photos for comparison) It has a more rounded feel opposed to the Joy Cons. It feels durable and the battery lasts...I played for two days, all day, while my foot was in a cast and it didnt die on me. So far I have played with it on BOTW, Mario Cart 8 and Fortnite. It is not compatible with Lets go Eevee, but there is the Pokeball plus for that. So overall I am very pleased with my purchase and I will probably get a second controller while it is still on sale.

Greater than one weekthe second I put my hands on it and started using it, it felt amazing. It feels very premium, the buttons, and texture are all very nice to press. I don’t usually obsess over details like that with controllers or devices, like the PS4 controllers feel ok, and the xbox controllers feel ok, but this somehow blew my expectations. Long battery life too. And it’s charged fully right out of the gate. I got this controller because my joycons has drifting issues. For the time being, I’m just gonna put this in a plastic ziploc when I’m not using it. Probably shouldn’t have food all over your hands when you play or leave it in dusty areas. If it has drifting issues I will come back and change my rating.
