Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

> 3 dayI was extremely hesitant on spending 60 bucks or more on a Nintendo controller. However, after reviewing the knock offs that are not official, or loosely affiliated with Nintendo, I decided to buy a Nintendo licensed controller. This thing rocks! The joy sticks are super durable (so far anyway!) so there is no drifting or buttons that stick. Ive been using this for months now, and I will buy this product again when that time comes..

> 3 dayI give this controller a 3.5/5 at the current price when I am writing this review which is 70 dollars. I have seen it for 60 dollars at times and at that price I would bump up the score to 4.5/5. The pros are HD Rumble, extremely long battery life and amiibo compatibility. The cons are horrible D-pad and a left analogue stick that wears out fairly quickly if you are a competitive Splatoon 2 or Mario Maker 2 player. Even at 70 dollars I recommend it for casual gaming. Overall thumbs up.

Greater than one weekWith all these aftermarket offerings, I’ve learned my lesson to just stick with Nintendo OE Pro controllers. All (4) of our children love playing with the Switch and to save money, I’d buy aftermarket controllers. Of course, they wouldn’t last. They’d either stop responding to the system, buttons become non-functional or wouldn’t even turn on. Almost 4 years later, the original Nintendo Pro controllers I bought them still works 100%. So it was a no brainer to just buy another OE Nintendo Pro controller since the little one was asking to have one for herself.

> 3 dayThis is a nice feeling controller. Its USB-C, weighty, and feels great in your hands with nice buttons. The battery life is also quite impressive. It stays juiced for a long time even with extended use. Easy to pair, easy to use. Highly recommend.

22-11-2024My family fights over this controller, because we all believe that its sleek black color reflect the darkness of our souls! We also like that it is harder to see what each of the buttons are. Seems a little less bossy than your average more clearly labeled controller. My family would probably be driven to a physical altercation should you remove all decalling completely! This is a pro controller! If you dont know what the buttons have been for the last ten years, then you could get a beginner controller!

Greater than one weekThe joycon just won’t cut it for me on certain games. Hence the reason I bought this big boy controller. Feels great, holds a long charge and no sticky button issues like with the after market stuff.

> 3 dayI found out the hard way to not get a cheap Nintendo controller. It costs a little more but definitely worth it.

Greater than one weekThis controller just may replace the second-gen Sega Saturn joypad as my favorite first party controller ever. Its comfortable as can be to hold, but I have just one concern. The analog sticks rub on the face of the controller and wear the plastic down, its white powder around either analog stick. I just hope Nintendo is going to be supporting to their loyal players in a year or so when these things start wearing out. Back in the N64 days, the Nintendo customer service number on the sticker on every Nintendo product took care of their gamers and they sent me three new N64 Analog sticks for the controllers that got worn out for free. Just the analog sticks, and I had to take apart the controllers to put them in. Ive only had this particular controller for about a month and Ive already had to clean off the plastic wear dust from the analog pads twice. Its a very comfortable controller, but I really think its overpriced (same as their Joy-Cons) and I question just how durable it is after seeing this much wear and tear after some casual use during less than a months time. Im gonna really be upset if this expensive official controller wears out early, and I sure hope Nintendos customer service is as good as it was 20 years ago when this control stick gives up the ghost like you can tell its going to do. Its comfy, its USB-C, good battery life, but the powdery wear around the thumbsticks really concern me. They rub against the controller housing and I just cant see how this controller was designed like this with the wear parts. Going to try and be optimistic, but these kind of problems typically get bad enough to warrant getting upset about right after theyre out of the warranty period... I sure hope Nintendo isnt skimping on quality or product support these days.

> 3 dayWe used to play switch with the joy-con but recently some of the buttons on joy-con are almost going to die, after heavy use by my son during the stay home period. Also, I am really not the fan of the size of joy-con. So I decide to have a try on the pro controller and it turns out great experience of playing. The size is perfect and the buttons are obviously durable and nice touch. Wil buy another one.
