Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

Greater than one weekGreat controller, its on par with the Xbox 360 controller in terms of comfort in the hand. The face buttons are large, which is great if youve ever had problems with pressing the wrong buttons in times of dire need haha. The triggers feel great and the entire controller sits right in your palms with all the buttons right at the ready for your thumbs. Only downside is the D-pad, it feels great but its not the most accurate, with no pivot point in the middle you can easily press more than one angle accidentally. Altogether great controller, not to mention its compatible with bluetooth! Pros: -Perfect button feel, with large face buttons -Very comfortable -Fingers lay right on the triggers -Analog sticks are catchy and never want to leave the thumbs -Bluetooth compatible! Cons: -Not the best D-pad, its easy to hit multiple angles with one press accidentally. Easy to avoid over time though. -The triggers are all digital, which isnt necessarily a con but can hinder its virtual console capability -A little expensive. Although you are paying extra for the HD rumble and gyro controls.

Greater than one weekIf you Play games on a regular basis this is a must buy. The Joy Con controllers are outclassed by the Pro controller in every concievable way except for the lack of HD rumble. The fantastic ergonomics will make extended gaming very comfortable and the controller was supported by every game Ive played so far (its especially good for shooters). It pairs up even better than the default Joy Cons. It has a good battery life. It has a REAL D-pad and not that nonsense that everyone pretends is a D-pad on the left Joy Con. The analog sticks are also positioned much better than the Joy Cons are when theyre connected to either side of the Switch. The triggers arent the best when compared to the Xbox One and PS4 controllers but that is a nitpick. If you are above the age of 10 and play games as a hobby you NEED this controller. Let your friends and small children play with those Joy Cons.

> 3 dayIs an okay controller and takes some getting used to for certain games. Not recommended for incremental movements for games that require motion detail, unless youre willing to spend extra time practicing for that specific game or unless the game has that all movement where you can physically direct the controller to position on screen. Once you know how to work it, its okay; the joysticks are kinda stiff meaning they either go one way or the other and you cant move just right in a smooth, slow motion if you need to do it quickly like a computer mouse. Does last a long time on one charge which is a huge plus. Update: Pros - Charge lasts a long time, durability is great (but I mean it has to be, its supposed to take a beating if its a pro controller I assume) Cons - Very stiff and underdeveloped joy sticks. This is a major downside for me because my hands are getting more of a workout than they should and I have averaged sized hands. Incremental movements are a must in gaming and it makes it extremely hard when you are more focusing on disciplining the movement of your had to control the joy stick than the actual game itself. Its really more for the use of playing those Nintendo classic games where input is forgiving and not for more aggressive high action movement games such as FPS and BR games. Im bored with Nintendo classics, make a true pro controller. Update 08/05/21: As you start gaming on a consistent basis and start tensing in the hands due to concentration and frustration, youll start to notice the bulk of the controller and the placement of the left joystick is not conducive or practical for gaming and causes your hands to feel uncomfortable everytime you pick up the controller; it will start to feel unnatural to hold. Honestly, now that I put it all together, Nintendo used this as a gimmick to just increase sales, there really isnt a good reason to spend this amount of money on a controller like this. Youll basically be overpaying for the battery life and thats it. Update: Its really a trash controller, marketed for those that really dont game and wouldnt know any better. Drift galore, but cleaning can kinda fix that. Controller died out completely a week ago and nothing can fix it. Lasted 4 years with the switch collecting dust for majority of the time; it should still be usable. I tried pairing again (the reset button at the top), tried updating...essentially came to the conclusion its literally garbage now. I guess 4 years is better than ps5 dualsense controllers 1 year. Input lag/responsiveness very noticeable on this controller. Not sure if I mentioned before, but this really started to get on my nerves after a while. Have buyers remorse with both the switch and its so called pro controller lmao more like slow junk. After my ps5 purchase, the switch will be collecting more dust or Ill give it away to my baby cousins; that is if theyll even want and use it.

> 3 dayI prefer using this over the standard Joycons that come with the Switch. Those are a little too small and unwieldy for my taste. This controller uses a solid design that mimics the Xbox 360. They claim that you will get up to 40 hours of play time from a single charge which I believe since I have never been close to draining it yet. My only real con is the price. I dont know why these need to retail for $70. I think $50 would be a more realistic but I wont fault the controller itself based on the price. Obviously people (myself included) are buying them for this price...

Greater than one weekThis controller is amazing. It feels so good in your hands. The battery life on this controller is insane compared to the PS4 controller. This controller lasts like 20+hours of game play on a single charge. One of the reasons why its so good is because it does not have an annoying big bright light in the back of it to lower the battery charge as quickly *cough* PS4 *cough*.... If you want of a more classical feel controller then get this for your Switch. Its the only and BEST option.

Greater than one weekI like the pro controller. Just wish the letters and numbers on the buttons were in a different color besides black. They are almost impossible to see.

> 3 dayI have had a better experience with the pro controller than I have with joycons considering the joycons drift a lot.

> 3 dayThis controller was perfect in the beginning. After spending $70 a pop on 3 joy cons, we gave this a shot. Granted, if it were just adults playing with it, it would probably last longer. But for an excited 9 year old who gets pretty intense while playing, the left knob starts its sway thing just like all the others. I have bought and still own every Nintendo console ever made and I have never had any issues with the old contollers. This is too expensive to have to buy these every few months like the crap xbox controllers we use on a PC. Now at $50 Ill probably have to get another one anyway, as most of the generic ones arent working with the amiibos. Id like to see Nintendo revise the product to last.
