NonScents Refrigerator Deodorizer (2-Pack) - Outperforms Baking Soda - Fridge and Freezer Odor Eliminator

We moved a couple of months back and noticed right away that the fridge in our new house had a bit of an odor to it. We figured a good cleaning would take care of it. After a couple of thorough cleanings in the first month of living in the house, we hadnt gained any ground on the smell. We tried boxes of baking soda, DampRid, and activated charcoal. As a last resort, I spent four hours disassembling the inside of the refrigerator (see pictures) in an attempt to do a deep clean. I removed foam pieces and soaked and scrubbed them in the bathtub. I removed gaskets that seemed to be especially smelly and replaced them with trim intended for sealing exterior doors. I was very frustrated the next day when the fridge odor was obviously still present. I then stumbled upon the NonScents Refrigerator Deodorizer product and thought Id give it a whirl. I didnt notice any improvement a couple of hours after installing it after work one night. The next morning I thought the fridge smelled better, but also thought that I could be imagining that. Later that night, I was convinced that it was really working. The smell continued to dissipate over a couple of days and was completely undetectable to my wife and I after about 5 days! One review that I had read on this product mentioned a chlorine smell being imparted to nearby food. We have not noticed this at all. Upon opening the package initially, I did notice a bit of a chlorine smell, but that was it. I do not smell anything chlorine-y in the fridge. Id highly recommend this product.

I was hesitant when I first saw this but I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did. They eliminated the smell in my fridge within a couple of days. Just make sure you give it time if you have a strong smell.

I don’t know what is in this but it has a very clean smell and keeps our fridge smelling fresh. Our food doesn’t have any weird flavors creeping in to leftovers either. I subscribe to get these regularly and move the old one to the freezer then put the fresh one in the fridge. Then I rotate the freezer one into the bottom of our trash can. The open design keeps the air flowing through the powder like a filter and no leaks like we had with the baking soda box.

While away I suffered an extended power failure my frozen food decomposed. The smell was dreadful. No amount of clean, soaking or spraying of bleach removed the smell which had ingrained itself into the plastic. I bought this product as a last resort. Within 2 hours my fridge smelt fresh and normal. I was so pleased. I really thought I would have to buy a new fridge! I can’t praise this product enough. Thank you

Short Story: This product is amazing. It cleared the rotten food smell from our refrigerator quickly and completely. Longer Story: We were evacuated from our home for a week this past summer due to wildfire, leaving behind a refrigerator full of food in a house with no power and 90 degree heat. We returned to the most awful stench of rotting food! After tossing everything, we tried every remedy we could think of to eradicate the smell from our refrigerator and freezer. Nothing worked. It was awful. I finally turned to the trusty Amazon reviewers and found this product. I am happy to say that this product far exceeded my expectations, and if we are ever in this situation again I would immediately buy this product again.

I didnt think this would work as well as they did but they do a great job. They eliminate odor and keep the food tasting fresh. They are small and easy to fit in the fridge and freezer. Happy with the product. Love that they come in a two pack as well!

I used to do baking soda for the fridge to help with eliminating any odors but now I wanted to try something different for a new change. This product worked fast for me and its great! My fridge has a lot of food items that does leave a lingering odor or are pickled so definitely needed something that could be tucked away at the back of the fridge without leaving any mess. This product worked very well in helping get rid of any strong odors, especially any vinegar/sour notes. Now, I can open the fridge without having any lingering scents afterwards from opening/closing throughout the day, so I would say its pretty fresh.

I have been battling a musty lingering smell in my garage mini fridge that I could not get to go away. The fridge sat in storage for about 2-3 years and since pulling it out of storage and using it again as a garage fridge, I could not seem to get the musty smell out of it. I tried clorox, simple green, lysol, pretty much every cleaner I had under my kitchen sink. I was even using the Arm and Hammer boxes in the fridge. Over the last 8 months or so, the smell was just as strong as the day I started using the fridge again. I popped one of these things in there and I swear, within 24-36 hours, this bad boy has my fridge odor free for the first time in almost a year. I am forever a believer in these now. I will be ordering one for my house fridge, second fridge in my man cave, etc. Dont think I have ever recommended a household product as much as this thing.

When I opened the package, I was skeptical. There was a strong odor of chlorine, however, there is no chlorine odor in the refrigerator and the odd smell that was present (even though I emptied and thoroughly cleansed the fridge) is now gone

Not sure where powerful bleach smell is coming from but I dont smell it. Almost everything causes my allergies to act up. I can smell fires burning from across the street 6 houses up. I would say I have a sensitive nose. I read these reviews and smelled the item and I didnt smell any sort of bleach smell. I absolutely hate bleach and its smell. Mine did have a slight smell but not anywhere near the apparently mind blowing smell that others have stated. It does have a faint odor but its not nearly as bad or as terrible as these reviews are saying. It is so faint, that you have to actually hold it up to your nose and breath to get the faintest wiff of any kind of odor. It isnt terrible it isnt bad. It doesnt even really smell. This is the only reason I am writing this review. I have no idea where these people are getting the smell from, but for me it isnt from this. I would say the only reviews that are fake or Ill informed are the ones stating that it smells like chlorine bleach.
