I ordered the hard drive and cable separate but you need software to clone. It is not provided. I read the reviews on several but purchased NTI Echo. It installed, I entered product key and followed directions. I was nervous about trying it but you have nothing to worry about. It works seamlessly and absolutely NO issues. Installed new drive (50% smaller than original) and laptop it boots and runs like new. Did not rate Tech support as I doubt anyone would need help. 5 stars!

You should be aware of how this software works before installing it on your machine. In my case it did not work and my boot up choices were to use the Echo Software (which failed to boot), Windows (which failed to boot) or some other option that also failed to boot.

I tried to save a laptop installing this then putting in a new hard drive using this to boot it up. For some reason the machine would never make it through a new boot up, also had a original Windows 7. I found after

open case find paper inside that says option to download, set aside put CD in installed quickly, but when put in key to activate it failed, tried a couple times, then website, used key on paper not inside case, got downloaded installed THEN use key inside case and got activated, time to clone it rebooted computer after a few seconds and started cloning, about 2 seconds and erred out, took some trial and error, but finally tried making it clone without changing partition sizes and was ok, was cloning........after about an hour it was 75% give or take and looked like might be another two hours as it was slowing down, finally gave up, shut down, restarted and computer choked, after startup repair, Win10 had all kinds of problems, good thing is I had an image that I used and half hour later all good. there are free versions that work faster and better. i may not be the best computer guy, but 2 years IT with 4.0 average, building computers over 20 years, installed windows and linux on a lot of computers and a semi-load of 3rd party software, and this rates in top 10% of garbage. do not waste money or time

This product does not work. Tried reinstall it a couple of times, no luck. Called tech support and they reluctantly gave me some suggestions, no help. Total waste of money.

I purchased this with a Samsung SSD. After cloning the Samsung SSD would not boot. Tried several times to re-clone. Each time it failed to copy the entire source disk. Each time it stopped coping at different GB levels. I downloaded the Samsung clone software and it worked perfectly. Do not buy this cheap piece of crap.

Had a lot of problems with other cloning software this was easy to use and flawless in the install.

Held my legs,arms,and finger crossed, wondering if it would copy old IDE hard drive to new SSD . Worked fine. Now my old technology 150 watt desktop can run 1 gig video card without blowing a gasket.
