> 24 hourThis review is posted twice because I bought two of these seats, a yellow one and a blue one. Personally, I like the yellow one better. Its uglier and therefore faster. --- Yeah, ok, I dont have a Youtube anymore, but Im sure a few people reading this will still recognize the name. 5 years since my retirement from Focke-Wulfing and Im still Turbo-Lotusing, and this seat is where Im at right now with hardware. Im actually more enthusiastic about this racing seat than Ive been about any piece of sim hardware since CH products or even Track IR, and the support the company puts behind the product is the primary reason why -- its a great product with unbeatable customer support. I tried to repair my previous seat (a Bob Earl V1) but the damage to the fiberglass was too great for a patch. Seeing as Bob Earl is out of the racing seat business these days (making spares or replacement parts difficult) new options were needed. I investigated several options, quickly settling on this Openwheeler as checking all the right boxes for me: close to the open wheel sitting position, durable heavy steel adjustable hardware, and a comfortable, realistic, adjustable seat. I was looking for functional simplicity, and sight unseen I made a very good choice. These seats are very well made, comfortable, and solid. The padding and especially the foam molding design could be better (it feels like years of use could cause them to detach), but for the price it is quite acceptable (and Ill be back to update over the years if I have problems). The seat is not a genuine Sparco or anything like that -- its just a generic racing seat meant to imitate the more expensive ones, but for a generic racing seat it largely feels nice and well made. The welding on the frame is a bit sloppy in places but the entire system is very sturdy and easy to adjust. Very, very solid. The knobs used to adjust the entire system are very well made and comfortable on the hands (a huge improvement from my old Bob Earl). The first seat I received (the blue one) came with a bent/defective base and Openwheeler shipped me a replacement very quickly with a simple email. All they requested were some pictures and they quickly expedited me a replacement (complete with tools). Overall the design is of very high quality, and, more importantly, its very functional. I was originally going to dock them at least one star for these seats not being compatible with Fanatec racing hardware, but after quickly dashing off an email to customer service they went out of their way to ship me, unexpectedly and completely for free, a bunch of prototype parts and beta designs they were working on that added Fanatec hardware compatibility. They were quick, pleasant, very professional, and actually listened to me and responded to my feedback. For example when the first pedal mount bracket they sent wasnt aligned properly I drew a diagram of what was wrong and they immediately fabricated and sent me a fix for it. This type of back and forth happened for several months and they ended up sending me numerous pieces to test and feedback. They clearly care about their product, and their customers. Ive got a direct relationship now with their customer support (positive energy and shouts go out to Dimitar!) virtually guaranteeing 100% of my future business in this purchasing category (mid level racing seats and related hardware). Its a pity more companies dont recognize the positive and long lasting relationships they could cultivate with their customers if theyd simply make a little effort. Now Im totally satisfied, sitting in a comfortable racing seat, very close to an accurate open wheel sitting position, with hard mounted Fanatec CSR wheel and hard mounted Fanatec Clubsport V2 pedals, totally immersed in my favourite racing sims, hanging on to the limit of grip in all my favourite race cars. Its too bad PCARS development never went anywhere (an example of a company going out of their way to cultivate bad relationships with their customers, those guys), but at least the future of rFactor 2 is looking exceedingly bright. Bring on the next 5 or 10 years of sim racing, because Im ready!

> 24 hourIf you ever had this type seat in your car you will be use to the way it feel on your shoulders. If on the other hand you havent or you are a big person it can be uncomfortable because of the way the seat simulate a racing seat and instead of having it done simplicity for you it only comes in one size. Still a great seat.

> 24 hourThe Openwheeler Stand arrived by UPS ahead of scheduled delivery date. It was shipped in a large oversized box & everything was included with no missing parts. Packaging was great as nothing was damaged during shipping. It did take a dolly to move the box around prior to opening as it was a big box & heavy. I am very pleased with the quality of the Openwheeler Racing Wheel Stand. I could see no other stand coming even close as the thing is made of interlocking steel square bars. The Logitec G Driving Force Wheel, Shifter, & Pedal bundle set right up with precision. No holes to drill. no clamps to break, just absolute perfection. The big knobby screw handles are totally awesome for tightening & unscrewing for adjustments. My only drawback of the thing was it is too low to the ground. I get in without a problem but have issues getting out. We manage though. I am working on a lift for it to raise the back end up so it isnt sitting on the floor. Assembly was a breeze as you get all the wrenches you need for assembly with the stand. I wish I had something like this years ago. I like the fact that I can take the stand apart in 2 pieces & take to a friends house with out having to un-mount the wheel or pedals. Just unscrew one adjusting knob, pull stand out of seat, & off we go. It makes resetting it up a breeze as I have marked my adjustment spot. I did have the shifter holder attached for a while & it worked perfectly, but took it off as I use the shifter on the wheel. All in all, this was the best thing that I have bought for my self in a long time.

> 24 hourordered on the 15th standard free shipping, it arrived on the 18th! this item is very sturdy, built of quality materials, assembly was a breeze, (the only negative issue I found is that there are no knobs or hardware to secure the rollers in the back tubes to keep them from sliding in and out when your moving it, not a giant issue but seemed odd because there are threaded areas to do so) seat is very comfortable (durable? time will tell) . I would recommend the lumbar pillow or your own small pillow, this cockpit is adjustable in every way so whether your short or tall there seemed to be and endless amount of ways to adjust it to make it work, i personally am vertically challenged at 54 . I found no wobble issues at all, my thrustmaster tx mounted up perfectly as well as the pedals, all the hardware and tools were supplied, I did order the riser kit at the same time (good move) without the riser kit it sits directly on the ground and unless you like to do combat rolls every time you get up then this kit is a MUST, my TV sits high so i actually added 4x4`s underneath the frame, i was able to mount them with no mods to the frame, this brought it up an additional 3.5 which is great, and the stability is still there, and you can still raise it up to roll it around, if someone would like to see the pictures I would be happy to take some. Time is always the true judge of a product, and normally I wait a couple of months before reviewing a product, but as solid as this thing is built I can foresee no issues. Happy Driving to all my fellow sim driving freaks, remember never drink and drive unless of course your in sim seat, and of age (-:

> 24 hourThis a very sturdy entry level race platform. It was easy to assemble and came with all tools and hardware. Its very adjustable and also easy to move around if you need too. I used it with a VR headset most of the time, but the included back rollers make it easy to move in front of my TV for Xbox play. I removed one star from the review because I think it should have come with lift kit. I really did not find it easy to get in and out of being right on the ground with a center mount wheel. Also, I think longer sessions were not good for my admittedly older back. The lift kit corrected both issues. It also gives the chair a natural tilt which makes it really comfortable. I do recommend this seat as a very good entry into the simulation racing. I use it with a logitech 920 wheel and pedals and its rock solid. I feel like an upgrade to a belt drive or lower end direct drive would be fine with this seat as well. I think this will serve me well for years.

> 24 hourThis cockpit is awesome! Extremely versatile and comes with absolutely everything you need, regardless of what products you use for sim racing. Very sturdy and well built. Couldnt be happier with my decision to go with this brand.

> 24 hourBought the OpenWheeler rig for my new Logitech G29. I will start with the package: It came in pretty large box, and couple more boxes with parts and hardware inside. Packaging was pretty good. Chair was bubble wrapped and all the rest of the parts were individually bubble wrapped in two additional boxes. Assembly: It took me about 20 minutes to assemble it and mount my Logitech G29 wheels and pedals on it. Assembly manual was pretty straight forward. I followed the short instructions with pictures step by step and no surprises there. Seat: The seat is made of fabric material, and it looks pretty solid. Seat itself is deep bright blue ( I picked the color). They had five or six more colors available If I am not wrong. The backrest has a little bump for my lumbar support which I like. I have done over 5 hours racing and the seat is very comfortable. Chassis: Chassis is all made of powder coated or zinc plated metal square tubing and plates. By eye, I would say the steel is about 1/8 thick. Everything is held together by rubberized handle knobs. Extremely adjustable: seat sliders, reclining backrest, up/down forward backward wheel position, forward backward pedal plate. I don’t plan on using gear shifter for the mount included in the kit so I am planning to come with something to make a cup holder out of it. My Logitech G29 bolted down right on. All hardware and some tools are included. I can definitely recommend the Openwheeler seat/stand and I am very happy with the G29 combo I chose. Hope the above detailed review helps the rest of fellow racing gamers out there.

> 24 hourThe quality of this chair is superb, but what I wanted to review was the assembly instructions. Incredibly detailed with parts in small labeled bags. You get wire management ties and even full wrenches and Allen keys to put this together. You need nothing extra. Instructions are very clear and each page has colored photos of each step. This is well worth the price.

> 24 hourThis is an incredibly high quality gaming seat. Its adjustable every which way, its very sturdy with heavy-duty hardware used everywhere, and there isnt an inch if wiggle when sitting in this from either the seat or from any of the connections. Especially when paired with a VR headset, its a perfect cockpit! Also, their customer service is the best - the Hotas mounts for my flight stick were still in development and not yet available for purchase when I first bought this item. I sent them an email and told them what model I had, and within 2 days they had shipped all the hardware, brackets, and custom-drilled mounting plates. A beautiful, quality product with great customer service. You cant ask for anything more.
