> 3 dayEase of Assembly-(5 Stars) Everything came packaged and labeled at a level Ive never experienced before. The bags had each screw set for each possible setup clearly labeled and seperated from the other parts. Bags inside bags had labels. The labels all correspond with a well written colored instruction manual. There are tools for each part requiring assembly. Real tools, not the generic kind. As a bonus, some of the extra configurations required different tools. They were included as well. Racing Cockpit-(5 stars) Well constructed steal cockpit. Each piece fits smoothly together. Very customizable & multiple adjustments to fit every size. The seat was comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

> 3 dayI was a bit wary of shelling out this much for a seat. But it was worth it. I was worried about 230lbs of midwest lard being all wobbly in it, but nope, not at all. Assembly wasnt a issue. We had it put together in about 30 min. Nice that they included all the tools. Also nice it comes with a shifter mount. My only gripe is self inflicted, its a bit short for in my office, but its perfect height for my living room, but having said that, its still fine in the office. You can purchase optional risers I believe. The support bar for the steering wheel isnt as big a issue as Ive seen some make it out to be. There is enough adjustment its easily overcome. Seat is pretty comfortable, I wouldnt want to go 6 hours in it, but Ive easily killed 2-3 hours in it at a time with no ill effects that arent brought on from being a semi-fat old guy. Its not top of the line, but its movable so you dont have to dedicate a whole area for a rig, like I said we use it in 2 places in my house and its more effort to move other stuff out of the way (for proper placement) than moving the seat around. Absolutely worth it.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent entry level frame and I have been very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend getting the optional seat risers to make it more comfortable. I removed a star because Im having issues with the plate the steering wheel mounts to coming loose from the bracket used for adjusting tilt. It uses 4 hex screws, but they painted this part assembled so paint is in the sockets of the screws. I tried to tighten the screws back down, but with paint getting in the way I couldnt get the Allen wrench in all the way and it stripped. Trying to find replacements for those screws. EDIT: Im changing my review to five stars because they reached out to me right away to fix the issue. I think I was able to get the screws tight enough and I used some blue threadlocker, so I hopefully dont need their assistance. Well see, Im waiting for the threadlocker to cure. The paint definitely made this whole process a pain though.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love the seat and it has enhanced my iRacing experience. It is very easy to put together and is very sturdy. It does sit very low (literally on the ground) and the lift bars are a must. It can be a little difficult to get in and out depending on how far you like your pedals and what height you like wheel, but I like a compact setup . Overall its a great product and Im very happy with my purchase.

> 3 dayWell built and very sturdy. Instructions were easy to follow and all tools need for construction (minus a straight slot screwdriver to pry a plug out) are included. Glad I bought!

> 3 dayIf you are on the fence, just pull the trigger. I cant say enough good things about this chair. Everything is modular so everything can be adjusted. Setup was beyond easy! Every single screw and bolt comes in a clearly labeled and secure package. Not to mention all the tools you need to setup are included, including the hex keys, open ended wrenches, and even comes with a high quality carrying case for the tools. The quality of the parts are far greater than the price point indicates, I feel like i stole it sometimes. The slider for the chair is smooth and allows for even greater customization. I use this with a DD wheel and load cell pedals, it is solid as a rock, no flex in the pedals or the wheel stand. You also dont need to over tighten the set screws, since there are multiple screws per adjustment. The center post can be a little difficult to get used to, but nothing that detracts from the experience. Overall, you cant go wrong.

> 3 dayFirst off, I’m not a reviewer. I generally don’t have the time to write them and I prefer to leave it to the professional reviewers. However with our current “shelter at home” life style, I find I have the time to share my thoughts on this cockpit setup from Openwheeler. I had done a fair amount of research into stand-alone cockpit configurations to use for my flight sims. I mostly fly in VR and use Thrustmaster Warthog joystick and throttle. My flights can last for a couple of hours, so a comfortable seat was a high priority. In addition, sturdy mounting surfaces for my controllers was also critical. Of course price always enters into the process and while I don’t mind spending the money for good quality, I don’t need to toss $$ at something that does not provide any actual additional benefit. My criteria eventually brought me to Openwheeler and their lineup of racing and flight sim cockpits. I decided to pull the trigger on the Gen 2 cockpit and also ordered the seat height extender and the mounts for a set of flight sim joystick and throttle. I was initially concerned about how the contents would look once shipped. Anytime you order heavy items, it can be a nightmare if the packing is not done correctly. My worries were completely eliminated once I received my order. Everything was well packed and all the metal plates were separated from one another. Everything was in excellent condition and nothing was scratched or dented. A quick review of the contents did reveal that I was missing a couple of components that I was expecting. I contacted Openwheeler and received a reply the same day. As it turns out, the online ordering can be a little confusing when ordering the add on joystick and throttle plates. I had inadvertently ordered plates that were not for my specific system. The folks at Openwheeler acknowledged the issue and stated that they are working on clarifying the product options with Amazon. Not only did they immediately ship the correct items to me via 2 day air, but also tossed in some additional items for my trouble. I can tell you that after shopping through Amazon for many years, you do not often find the type of customer service that I received from this manufacturer. Not only are all the parts clearly marked and organized, but they also include the tools you need to do the assembly. Once I had all the items, the assembly went together very well and the provided instruction were more than adequate. I have read some comments about quality control and bolt holes not aligning correctly. First, I found the quality of the components to be more than acceptable. Secondly, I suspect that some of the issues with bolt alignment may be an issue of how these units are being assembled. Anytime you are bolting together components for any type of assembly, it is critical to make sure you are getting all the fasteners started before tightening anything down. For example, if you are attaching the seat to the frame and insert and tighten the bolt on one side, it will be difficult to get the other side aligned. This is not a reflection of poor quality control. It is possible to find products with tighter tolerances, however you will also pay 2 to 3 times the price for that level of precision. Following this assembly approach, I had no issues with getting this put together. In fact, I was more than pleased with how additional knobs and set screws are used at all the adjustment points. Once everything is tightened down, it is a strong and rigid assembly. I would not hesitate to recommend this to any of my flight some friends. They are also working on some new options that will drastically change the mounting options for the joystick. Can’t wait to give that a try. I don’t want to sound as if I’m a paid reviewer and I have been searching my mind for some negatives. Other than the confusion with ordering options on the Amazon page, I really don’t have any complaints yet. I will revisit this review after I have had more time using this setup. I will be curious to see how long the seat holds up and stays comfortable.

Greater than one weekThis chair is built nicely for the price point. My Thrustmaster wheel and handbrake mounted perfectly in the provided mounting holes and feel solid as can be. Ive been using mine constantly for the last 6 months and it is still as good as new. Assembly is simple and the chair reclines/adjusts with a side lever just like a car seat and it stores away easily as well. For the price point, youd be pressed to find a better SIM racing seat. I highly recommend it.
