This purchase has far exceeded my expectations. From packaging to quality materials and clear, complete documentation to assembly. Called customer service with an accessory question and Dimitar knew his product, first class! This rig is comfortable and rock solid. I did my homework and I am pleased with my purchase!

If you ever had this type seat in your car you will be use to the way it feel on your shoulders. If on the other hand you havent or you are a big person it can be uncomfortable because of the way the seat simulate a racing seat and instead of having it done simplicity for you it only comes in one size. Still a great seat.

Very well made, sturdy and comfortable. Foot peddles and steering wheel are adjustable to fit most bodies. I am 5 6 and its almost like its built for me but expands to much great lengths. Instructions to put together are not high quality, but for the most part you can figure it out. High quality tools are included to assist. The large knobs are loose in the box, so look for them. (all other parts are bagged and labeled). The seat looks professional and very cool and makes all the difference in making you feel like you in a real car. Highly recommended, especially for this price!

Well made and functional. I mounted my Logitech G920 wheel, Logitech pedals, and added Logitech shifter and the setup was well worth the money.

This is a good, quality racing chair for the price. The base is sturdy and the seat is comfortable. I am a taller / bigger guy and the seat fits me well and has tons of adjustability for any size. I was surprised at how solidly built it was. One bit of advice, it is very low to the ground to start, maybe only 4 inches or so off the floor. If you are a bigger person, or slightly older I highly recommend the seat lift kit. It is easy to install and makes the chair much easier to get in and out of. It also creates a much more natural driving position. Out of the box your legs are almost straight out, but with the seat lifts I can race for hours very comfortably.

Amazingly well designed and robust at any price. This is a real value. Just be aware that if setting up for a side mount throttle and stick (eg HOTAS) for flight sim configuration you will need additional kits OpenWheeler | Configuration 2 | Flight Simulator HOTAS for Thrustmaster Warthog | Side by Side and OpenWheeler Seat Lift Kit. It’s still a great value even with the added cost and you get exactly what you need. Easy to assemble. Easy to tweak to fit your exact needs for fit and position of components. Did I mention solid construction?

So I finally got this rig all put together ... wasnt too difficult however, due to poor packaging one of the tightening knobs broke. I made due with the broken knob by putting it on a part I wont have to adjust so it is effectively out of the way. However, I discovered a design flaw with the bars that are designed to hold the shifter in place .. as they only use one knob at the base to hold the arm up it rocks back and forth with relative ease. I fixed this by jamming cardboard packaging down into the base holder and re-tightening the screw. Lastly, I find the seat and the pedals are in a position like a go kart and with the logitech pedals my legs are uncomfortably parallel to the ground and my feet are flat vertical to the pedals ... making long plays uncomfortable. Outside of frame issues, I do like the seat itself, the red and black look very sharp and it has a nice racing feel to it. I think later on in life I will disassemble this, make a platform to raise the seat up so I am in a more comfortable position.

Like the headline, I rarely leave reviews. I absolutely had to on this though. Easy to assemble. Good instructions. Sturdy frame. Great quality. Called customer service because I heard there were mounts for the HOTAS flight controllers, but the link in the accessories book wasn’t working. Customer service was able to answer my questions and hooked me up with everything I needed. I will post up pictures of the final set up. They have lots of accessories and were extremely helpful! The customer service rep was amazing and provided me with the BEST assistance I have ever had anywhere. Price is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Worth every penny I spent!

Yeah, ok, I dont have a Youtube anymore, but Im sure a few people reading this will still recognize the name. 5 years since my retirement from Focke-Wulfing and Im still Turbo-Lotusing, and this seat is where Im at right now with hardware. Im actually more enthusiastic about this racing seat than Ive been about any piece of sim hardware since CH products or even Track IR, and the support the company puts behind the product is the primary reason why -- its a great product with unbeatable customer support. I tried to repair my previous seat (a Bob Earl V1) but the damage to the fiberglass was too great for a patch. Seeing as Bob Earl is out of the racing seat business these days (making spares or replacement parts difficult) new options were needed. I investigated several options, quickly settling on this Openwheeler as checking all the right boxes for me: close to the open wheel sitting position, durable heavy steel adjustable hardware, and a comfortable, realistic, adjustable seat. I was looking for functional simplicity, and sight unseen I made a very good choice. These seats are very well made, comfortable, and solid. The padding and especially the foam molding design could be better (it feels like years of use could cause them to detach), but for the price it is quite acceptable (and Ill be back to update over the years if I have problems). The seat is not a genuine Sparco or anything like that -- its just a generic racing seat meant to imitate the more expensive ones, but for a generic racing seat it largely feels nice and well made. The welding on the frame is a bit sloppy in places but the entire system is very sturdy and easy to adjust. Very, very solid. The knobs used to adjust the entire system are very well made and comfortable on the hands (a huge improvement from my old Bob Earl). The first seat I received (the blue one) came with a bent/defective base and Openwheeler shipped me a replacement very quickly with a simple email. All they requested were some pictures and they quickly expedited me a replacement (complete with tools). Overall the design is of very high quality, and, more importantly, its very functional. I was originally going to dock them at least one star for these seats not being compatible with Fanatec racing hardware, but after quickly dashing off an email to customer service they went out of their way to ship me, unexpectedly and completely for free, a bunch of prototype parts and beta designs they were working on that added Fanatec hardware compatibility. They were quick, pleasant, very professional, and actually listened to me and responded to my feedback. For example when the first pedal mount bracket they sent wasnt aligned properly I drew a diagram of what was wrong and they immediately fabricated and sent me a fix for it. This type of back and forth happened for several months and they ended up sending me numerous pieces to test and feedback. They clearly care about their product, and their customers. Ive got a direct relationship now with their customer support (positive energy and shouts go out to Dimitar!) virtually guaranteeing 100% of my future business in this purchasing category (mid level racing seats and related hardware). Its a pity more companies dont recognize the positive and long lasting relationships they could cultivate with their customers if theyd simply make a little effort. Now Im totally satisfied, sitting in a comfortable racing seat, very close to an accurate open wheel sitting position, with hard mounted Fanatec CSR wheel and hard mounted Fanatec Clubsport V2 pedals, totally immersed in my favourite racing sims, hanging on to the limit of grip in all my favourite race cars. Its too bad PCARS development never went anywhere (an example of a company going out of their way to cultivate bad relationships with their customers, those guys), but at least the future of rFactor 2 is looking exceedingly bright. Bring on the next 5 or 10 years of sim racing, because Im ready!

First off, I totally love this thing. It is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to setup, very comfortable. Adjustable in just about any way you want. Seller is nothing short of amazing. Sent me the hotas setup for my elite dangerous for free. Responds to questions very quickly and was a major help in getting this thing working. My particular setup required three plates which he sent me without a issue. I highly recommend this rig regardless of if you’re into racing or flight. It’ll work great. Instructions are very easy to understand, just be sure you are using the correct parts and you won’t have issues.
