> 3 dayThis is an excellent projector if it works for mire than 10 viewing hours. Mine did not. The fan started making a scraping noise after a few hours, then the fan quit. An overheating message came on and then it shut down. That was that. Lucky for me I could return it.

> 3 day3 problems on the first day: The unit is producing lots of heat, the screen sometime flicking colors and make my eyes go into discomfort and feel dizzy, last but not least the hdmi slot doesn’t let me connect to my laptop…will not recommend this model if you consider to buy it.

Greater than one weekNot going into length on this. But after 2 years, white dots are beginning to take over the screen. This is a failing DMD chip. Contacted technical support who informed me the chip was $400. Then theres a $110 cost, right out of the gate. Plus shipping and Im sure other fees. To fix a chip will cost the same as a new projector. Not to mention the part is not in stock. I informed them that this will prevent me from ever purchasing another Optoma product. And that Id share my experience. Didnt seem to matter. I would encourage you to steer clear.

> 3 dayThe bulb went out about 1 year after purchase, which I was able to replace, also dead white and black pixels started showing. 2 years after purchase it officially broke.

> 3 dayPicture quality is extremely clear, but the speakers are HORRENDOUS comparative to any TV. You will absolutely need an external speaker, which will be especially challenging if youre projecting from the ceiling as you wont be able to connect a WiFi speaker. I think anyone would expect much better speaker quality for a $700 projector.

> 3 dayMine isnt really focused from top to bottom. Top is somewhat blurry and cant get it to clear up. Think its got to do with my particular unit. Nice and bright for day-time watching.

> 3 dayDo not buy. Sound and picture will be on a delay from each other. The audio is only available though a 3.5M Jack. Can only play audio in analog not digital. Cannot connect to a sound bar. The customer service is not helpful. Tells you to go to a website.
