Philips Hue Single Premium A19 Smart Bulb, 16 million colors, for most lamps & overhead lights (Hue Hub Required, Works with Alexa), Old Version

A luxury to be certain, but these things are awesome

We love the Philips Hue lights. We have several in our home now. They work well with both Amazon Alexa and the Google Home assistant.

If you live in a dorm or share wifi, then this is the bulb you need. None of the others will connect to your lexa unless you have access tot he router. I wasted eighty bucks on other bulbs that promised to connect to Alexa, only to find out that you have to have a separate router. Great product.

The bulb is bright and can output just about anything color – even brown (Orange at low brightness). I just dont know why I need to give Phillips my email address. Why does it take 3+ seconds to load the app? Im debating on getting the Hue Bridge or other bulbs.

Good in theory but it just doesn’t give out enough light for me.

Cumple lo que ofrece lo único es que noto que tiene poca potencia de iluminación como que alumbra de 60 watts pero debería ser de 100 watts

The type of light, for example, energize is amazing. The issue, the hue app does not allow you to rename the lights anymore. They are color1, color 2 etc. Very difficult for voice control or setting up routines having to make a list of what lights where. I have many, many, many of these lights, Hue fix the app.

The bulb works great, the colors are beautiful, and it works extremely well with Alexa. One thing that I wasn’t aware of upon purchasing is you must also purchase a bridge in order to operate the color features of the bulb. This was my mistake for not researching initially. The cost of admission to Hue isn’t cheap, but I’m satisfied with my purchase and plan on adding a few more eventually.

This was my first smart bulb, and it works great. I dont know how I am going to afford $60 a lightbulb for the rest of my house...
