Fun to have color bulbs that I can control with Alexa or Google home. That said, theyre a bit dim Far worse, I just discovered they only have a 2 year warranty. I was surprised to discover one of my bulbs failed. Id bought it at Best Buy October 2016 and didnt save the receipt because who saves light bulb receipts? I figured GE would know when I started using it since its connected to a network hub and has a serial number. In any case, they said it was manufactured outside the remarkably brief 2 year warranty and wouldnt replace it. Thats their choice. My choice is not to buy any more $50 bulbs that only last 2 years. Thats $2 a month for a single light bulb. Unfortunately I bought several others but at least I bought through Amazon so I can prove my date of purchase. If you do buy one, save the receipt.

The Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance bulb arrived in the attractive packaging that goes along with the hue series. I was adding this bulb to an existing system, and it was very easy to pair and discover. All I needed to do was name the room and all was good to go. Four stars only because it is a lot to pay for a single bulb. Hopefully there will be discounted prices for sets in future.

This is a plastic buld, the originals were glass but for $50 each. The build of these should have been front and center of the item.

For some reason, this individual bulb does not seem to get the deepr colors like the ones that came with my hue bridge. I think this is a first generation bulb. If I had known that, I wouldnt have bought it here. It seems to not be able to create torquoise, for some reason, and the other bulbs I have do that brilliantly. Expensive for what it is.

The color hue is great but they definitely are not worth the price... I get this is a newer technology. But this seems more like artificial inflation.

Got my second one of these recently and it died with 3-4 days of use, not exactly thrilled. The options and capabilities are great but at these price points and risk of getting a dud, don’t know if it’s actually worth it overall

I love Philips hue have 16 of these in my home. I love it. So easy to set up. Definitely thing to add is the Philips hue tap. To set different color scenes in your house or in a room. You can easily do it from your phone or have Google home assistant do it for you but its sometimes just nice that have a button that changes the scene. But these bulbs last forever Ive had some of the colored Philips hue bulbs for about 3 to 4 years. you definitely get your moneys worth in the savings of energy. I wish you were a little bit cheaper but still worth the money.

It would have been nice if the title stated it requires a hub to control it. Had to return it. Without using an app or hub, it’s just a light bulb.
