Philips Hue Single Premium A19 Smart Bulb, 16 million colors, for most lamps & overhead lights (Hue Hub Required, Works with Alexa), Old Version

This is my 3rd purchase of Phillips hue lights. Always impressed with the ease of use and range of colors. Since my original purchase for my living room consisting of 2 bulbs, a strip and a hub, I have added another bulb to my living room and 2 more bedrooms. This is a very cool product to show to your friends and to set a mood. The ability to control all bulbs at once from your phone in the app or on wall mounted switches is great along with being able to control all lights at once or individually is a great feature. I have also since incorporated the wall switch so that the kids and turn on and off the lights and even set their own light setting with their favorite colors. Works great as a night light since you can make the lights as bright or as dim as you wish. Great product. Will definitely be adding to the philips hue family of lights in my house.

I started out with just wanting to have an IKEA tower light able to be dimmed and then decided to fill it with colored lights. Very glad I did. It soon became a bit of an obsession, where now every light in my apartment is Hue, which is over 50 lights. For my bathroom and office, I didnt go with colored bulbs. Id tried colored ones in the bathroom at first but found I never wanted them so I moved those to other rooms. There are fun apps that my niece and nephews love to play with that do light shows (OnSwitch is their favorite). Ive attached an image Id put together when I first started playing with them. I combine them with the Philips Hue Tap Switch that I keep by the couch so I can quickly switch the room to presets. I have motion sensors in hallways (because who ever flips the light on then back off at the other end?) and have them set to switch on dimmer at night to find my way to the bathroom without blinding me. Ive attached some extreme examples but most of the time I just have the colors set to an autumn sunset feel, not quite so dramatic. I like that during the day, you can change the color temperature to match sunlight so your lights match the light from outside, almost like skylights.

I have an Alexa device and They work great with it. They just give a room a great feel to it with what ever color you might need. Highly recommend.

After buying the home kit with 2 lights and bridge I found that I like it so much that I bought a third one. It works great and has very little issues.

I was nervous about buying these, I figured with 6 bulbs one of them was bound to be a dud. But knock on wood, all of them have been working flawlessly. Super excited to have them.

It would have been nice if the title stated it requires a hub to control it. Had to return it. Without using an app or hub, it’s just a light bulb.
