> 24 hourI bought this because I needed a drive that I could use to rip my movies from DVD and Blu-Ray on my newer computers that dont have internal drives. I was told that it being a USB 3 device would make it faster than the drives in my 8 year old Dell. Compared to the internal drives on my old desktop, this thing is noisy and slow. Maybe I should have tried the bundled software, but Im more comfortable with Make MKV and Handbrake. I fee like I spent too much money for this thing, and if I hadnt needed it when I bought it, I probably would have returned it. So yeah, its OK, and it does what it says on the tin...but Im not telling you to buy it.

> 24 hourThe product came with a product key and link to software to be able to write data. The link brings you to a site with a dozen products with none matching the name given in the documentation. Pretty much useless. I use the drive to read which works fine but now have no way to write.

> 24 hourCame with regular usb, not the necessary usb3.0. Ultra thin and lite! Player wont fully open without help. Seller was fine, but product is ultra cheap.

> 24 hourI love this product and have already burned a couple of blu Rays with it. I use the program Nero Video 2020 and is a good program to use with this product.

> 24 hourPortability is great, though Id say the case is bigger than it needs to be. Didnt care for the bundled software. Functionality is so-so. Using it if you need to install something from a disc is fine. Watching a movie isnt as good as Id expect for this price. In a movie lasting an hour and a half it paused for a few seconds at least a dozen times while the drive made an audible spinning sound like it was struggling to read the disc. There are no issues with the disc. My other computers built-in drive as well as the player hooked up to my TV have no issues. Its just this drive. So if you just need it to install programs that are still on disc or maybe want to listen to CDs, its probably fine. I dont advise getting this to watch movies with. Its not worth it.

> 24 hourHonestly, having an internal dvd/Blu-ray burner is not worth having these days unless you work in that sort of thing. Having this for occasional or rarely burning discs is ideal. Plus, it is good for watching movies on your pc using VLC player.

> 24 hourThe drive itself is great. However, it was a real pain to have to go to the manufacturers website, create an account, find the right software, download it (1.6GB worth), and finally to install it before I could use the drive.

> 24 hourOnly feature I dont like is you can only change its region 5 times. But at this price Ill buy a couple and leave them set to whatever. It does need to be on a flat unmoving surface. Fires up and plays great! Works with laptop or TV.

> 24 hourSelf-installed instantly on my Win 10 Lenovo X1 Yoga laptop. Lid opens rather than a sliding mechanism, saving weight and size. Conservative black color goes with anything (though Id prefer a black cable too rather than the included white one--it also has a proprietary plug, and is removable). Speed just as speced, no hitches/glitches. Good that a case is included. However, it is larger than necessary, but would enable carrying a number of discs along with the drive. Made in China, but it is an authentic Japanese Pioneer product. I anticipate long and reliable service.
