> 24 hourComing from someone who hated Black and White... I love this game. 3D is used sparingly but its wonderful when it does come in. Its not as easy as other newer Pokemon games. The availability of Pokemon with hidden natures is nice (unlike Black and White) but... I do take issue with having to go online (Reddit, anyone?) and add a ton of strangers to my DS friends list in order to get said hidden natures and friend safaris... it was not a fun process. I do respect that the Elite four was actually kind of difficult, unlike some other games in the series. Breeding was drastically improved. The Battle Maison is pretty great. The EXP share, also, was dramatically improved. I find its almost too easy to get levels, sometimes... but I cant really complain when leveling isnt everything and grinding gets kind of boring. I appreciate that it makes your stats and your move choices more important because everyone has insanely high-level parties. I wish it didnt totally blow Sun and Moon away. Its a much better game and so its hard for me to move forward in the series.

> 24 hourthere isnt really alot I can say that isnt laced with spoilers, however I will say one will find alot of old favorites, such as pikachu, ripe for the picking. the visuals are great, the gameplay is great, it sounds good and plays good. I will note, the game is not without issue, the 3d scenes, particularly in battles sometimes suffer from framerate drops when the 3d is active. simply sliding the slider down and shutting the 3d off fixes this and the game is quite playable in 2d mode. something I particularly like is the ability to link with other players and trade or battle over the internet, gone are the days where you absolutely HAD to be in the same room as the other person, be it for the old days of the link cable battle, or because the systems wireless has a short range. all in all, for long time fans of the franchise who have not played in a few years and are looking to get back into things..these are THE games to do it with.

> 24 hourUndoubtedly my favorite Pokemon game yet. After playing through White and White 2 (as well as having a game in all of the other generations), this is a breath of fresh air. Ive been dying for another Pokemon game like Colosseum/XD and this sort of filled my request by having 3D sprites. What was truly a winner was the sound track though. 8-bit tracks are ditched, old Pokemon voices are dropped, the sound is crisp, clean, and glorious. Of course, this isnt the only thing to talk about. The numerous online improvements are awesome, the sprites are gorgeous, breeding is easier, to put it shortly, there are very few complaints. I just wish I could do 6vs6 battles over Wifi with random people. Its small though, and for that one loss, there are one thousand wins.

> 24 hourIve been a fan of the franchise since Sapphire. The latest installment does not disappoint. Ill give this to Game Freak, they keep tweaking the game just enough to keep it interesting. In the latest flavors you can buy new clothes for your trainer, and interact with your Pokemon by giving them a scratch on the head. The one feature that has me addicted at the moment, is the Wonder Trade. Even moreso than rushing from gym to gym in search of badges, I keep snatching up Pokemon and thrusting them into the cosmic slot machine. You put a Pokemon out there and randomly receive one back. Ive landed everything from the most generic fodder to shiny rares beamed to me from other versions and countries. It really is pretty addictive. And as far as the game goes, its pretty engaging, as well. The graphics are oh-so-pretty and the battle/puzzle/repeat methodology never seems to get old. With old favorites like Pikachu and Charmander, and a whole new class of Pokemon in the Fairy type, theres all kinds of critters to catch. At the end of the day, if youre a fan of the franchise... theres a lot to like about the newest Pokemon adventures.

> 24 hourI have not played a Pokemon game since Pokemon Yellow on the Game Boy(GBC). I decided to pick this up around 15 years after I last dove into the Pokemon world after seeing a few trailers/reviews. Not sure why it took me this long to play this series of games again, but Im glad I did. I read from many that this is the perfect game for a person such as me(one who has an attachment to the original series/games) as there are quite a few homages to those games. The gameplay is similar to what I remember, except with a few snazzy and enjoyable changes here and there...besides just the beautiful graphics. It was a fun experience bringing my inner child out once again and exploring the world, collecting some interesting looking pokemon, and battling my way up the final pokemon league. The online/social features are pretty interesting as well. While I do wish there was a chatroom/easier way to communicate with friends and strangers a like it is still an interesting feature to be able to trade and battle pokemon. Maybe in another version down the road they will expand on these features...and perhaps even allow two or more friends explore the world together(and Id really enjoy a console version similar to Ni No Kuni!) If you havent played in a while, Id say grab this game before moving to Omega/Alpha.

> 24 hourI was a bit skeptical about buying this game since I have not played any pokemon games for about a year, but I must say that game freak definitely raised the bar on this game and completely innovated a series that was already amazing in the first place. The game is great for newcomers into the series and veterans alike, because of the simplicity of the game, yet challenging meta-game (Competitive Battling) for the more experienced players who are confident in their skills in battle against other players connected over the internet. The Player Search System or PSS was only one of the great additions and innovations game freak used to improve interaction with other real life players for doing such things as battling and trading over the internet. Overall this game is one of my favorite pokemon games due to its completely original story and new pokemon designs, not to mention the next-level innovation that game freak put onto this game.

> 24 hourI believe that there is no need for another review of this game. I already finished it I took my time and have 150h of gamely mostly because I switched teams mid. Game several times. Its a great game for pokemon fans, If you played any pokemon game and liked it you will probably like this one a lot. If you have not had a chance to play any pokemon games check some videos before purchasing this as the style of the game might not be for everyone.

> 24 hourThis game is honestly so much fun. Ive loved Pokemon my whole life and theres so many new features in this game that make Pokemon not as monotonous and boring. I would suggest choosing the female character if youre interested in character customization, regardless of your own gender. She has tons of clothing options while the male characters options are pretty boring and theres a 1/3 of the amount of items. Only thing I wish you could do was change hair color to something unnatural like blue or purple or red.

> 24 hourFun game that I enjoyed thoroughly, but I was upset with the friend obtaining process for friend safari and the way one has to obtain legendary bird pokemon. There is no tier system for PVP pokemon battles, so someone with all legendary pokemon can challenge a new player that only has basic pokemon. Of course, one can decline the fight, but one needs to interact with others in order to obtain their friend safaris. So its like a mandatory one-sided pokemon slaughter sometimes. I would say this game is really more like a 4.5/5 stars, but alas it does not let me give that rating. Overall, it is well made and I would definitely recommend it.
