> 3 dayI LOVE that you can customize your character; clothes, hair, and they even have a darker skin tone for my character. This game is a lot more social than the predecessors, from adding people to your friends list and such. The world is not flat. The camera moves on its own as you walk around and it actually feels like you are in the game. It was also nice they brought back the old Pokémon from previous generations. I dont see the purpose of Megaevolution. I dont see the purpose of Fairy types when Ice and Dragon moves are actually a weakness to Dragon type Pokémon. And...the rest of the game is just boring for me. The more I played it, the more I got less interested in the story. Im not going to complain that the game is too easy because Pokémon is a kids game, its suppose to be easy. The gym leaders and the Elite Four arent difficult to fight. And the story/plot was boring, Pokémon was a lot more interesting. And even after you beat the game, theres nothing else to do.

Greater than one weekIve been a fan of Pokémon since Red and Blue appeared here in the US. From that point on, Ive been getting my hands on at least one game from each series as they released. After Ruby and Sapphire came out on the GBA, nothing quite pulled me into the world of Pokémon like they had. That isnt to say I disliked the DS games. I still enjoyed them, but I wasnt enraptured like I had been before... this is, until X and Y appeared. I bought Y first, but it wasnt too long after that I bought X. Pokémon X and Y have so much to offer anyone who tries them out. I felt nostalic on occasion, as well as a brand new sense of adventure. For the very first time, you get to see the world in 3d. You also get to play with, feed, and pet your Pokémon! Plus, the new region, new villains, and new legendaries are absolutely fun and awesome. Whether youre new to the series or youre a Pokémon Veteran (like me), the odds are that you will enjoy this game.

> 3 dayAbsolutely beautiful game! Great new features. Its like a breath of fresh air into the Pokemon game franchise. I do have some problems like: 1) Not much post game content. 2) The story was kind of weak and the way the Legendary Mascot was tied into the story was sloppy. It felt like the Legendary Pokemon was just thrown in there just because thats the way it is supposed to be. 3) The game did feel easy at times. Meaning the difficulty level was lower than past games. Even though I turned off the EXP.SHARE, I destroyed the Elite Four and the Gym Leaders without much trouble. 4) Catching the Legendaries was easy (at least for me). Only took me like 4 Ultra Balls. I remember when I would use up all my Ultra Balls (60-80) and would have to restart at my save point to try catching it again. Other than that, the game is beautiful with new great features. The online aspect has lots of great features, which is what Pokemon is all about, which is why I still gave it five stars even though I had problems with it.

Greater than one weekIts a nice game. Good Pokemon selection, decent visuals, cool Pokemon animation, and the character customization is nice. Its also far, far, far too easy. Im actually pretty sure every game before this one isnt this easy. I actually beat the Champion in exactly 20 hours, and wasnt even threatened during that fight. No grinding, no slog, just victory. Also, theres also (almost) no stereo 3D outside of battle and some noticeable framerate issues. Solid enough, especially as an introduction point to the series.

Greater than one weekIm a big fan of the gen I and gen II games but went on a hiatus since then. Bought a 3ds and loved replaying the Yellow Version via virtual console. Again sparking my curiosity in the franchise... Wow have things changed.. First thing I noticed is how much easier the games have gotten. Literally no challenges, the gym leaders are a joke, even went through the elite 4 in one shot. I remember you used to have to work your ass off for that. Catching Pokémon is hardly ever a challenge in my experiences, lower hp and your good to go. The entire story is dull and is the same old thing, Use your Pokémon youve treated with love to defeat your opponents who use them for evil. Corny as hell ending by the way. Should I mention they are definetly running out of ideas for new Pokémon. Seriously ridiculous and boring designs. The WiFi functions such as GTS are a nice feature and graphics look nice. Other than that, I dont have much good to say. The Pokémon company is really just cashing out on a winning formula. Dont get me wrong, the idea of catching Pokémon and training them is always fun, just not as satisfying as it used to be.

> 3 dayThis game is great as a nostalgia piece and on its own merits. The addition of Mega Evolutions and the Fairy type has changed the game for the better. Game Freaks didnt go overboard with new Pokemon, instead sprinkling them in and filling in the rest of the roster with great monsters from previous generations. This allows returning players a sense of newness and familiarity. The new battle sequences are also a much needed improvement over the basic sprite based battles from the past. The only two issues I really had with the game are with the difficulty and the online trading system. 1) Very early in the game the player receives an item that gives every Pokemon on the team half of the experience for the fight, even if they didnt participate. In the past it would only give one monster the bonus. While you can turn it on and off, leaving it on leads to your Pokemon being leaps and bounds ahead of any enemy you face. Another issue with difficulty is that the player rarely runs into other trainers with more than 2-3 Pokemon in their team. This makes battles quick and a little too easy. 2) The Global Trading System (GTS) is a little hit or miss. If you search for a Pokemon you want and then after that search put in a filter like only show trades where I own what they requested the trade will fail and take you back to the main screen of the 3DS or it will just say that the Pokemon has already been traded. This lead to frustration until I came across the issue while searching online. Those 2 issues are why I could not give the game a 5, but the game is a great improvement over previous games and would be good for any Pokemon players collection.

> 3 dayFun game that I enjoyed thoroughly, but I was upset with the friend obtaining process for friend safari and the way one has to obtain legendary bird pokemon. There is no tier system for PVP pokemon battles, so someone with all legendary pokemon can challenge a new player that only has basic pokemon. Of course, one can decline the fight, but one needs to interact with others in order to obtain their friend safaris. So its like a mandatory one-sided pokemon slaughter sometimes. I would say this game is really more like a 4.5/5 stars, but alas it does not let me give that rating. Overall, it is well made and I would definitely recommend it.

> 3 daylove the new pokemon and it have really good mechanics. i was worried about the 3d pokemon design but they work great. the story like is the same than every pokemon game just with slightly differences. the cities are nice to look at and you can feel different feeling for each new city. the character are a little nicer than the other pokemon version but i find them really dorky. i am referring to the rapper in the game. he is totally out of place here, meaning he have nothing to do as a a second main character here and feel like he is an extract in the game.
