    Greater than one week

This game lived up to its hype when it came out. Made me buy a 3ds just to play this game and Id say it was absolutely worth it. Nowadays theres newer games but Id say that this game is still worth coming back around to do a casual playthrough. So many hours were sunk into breeding the perfect lucario (which totally happened) and now its one of my life achievements since a 6 IV perfect pokemon are so hard to get.

Pokémon Y was advertised as the U.S. version on the photos but I received a World Edition, which was a little disappointing. The case has very minor damages from shipping but nothing bothersome. The game itself works perfectly!

This is the game I have been waiting for as a fan of pokemon since 1999. This is the 3d, all encompassing version of pokemon we had been waiting so long for and the game delivers. Some pokemon designs leave a bit to be desired and there was not a TON of new pokemon, but I feel the changes overall make this game an awesome one. The new pokemon are amazingly designed, the new type, fairy gave us new life to older monsters and the mega evolutions changed the metagame that was quite stale in generation 5.

Pokemon X&Y is most definitely the best Pokemon game released to date. The amount of improvement: regarding graphics, content, IV training/breeding, and models & animations is incredible; especially after playing the Pokemon series since Generation I. New features, such as the revamped Exp. Share and the introduction of Mega-evolution (something Id thought would be very stupid and gimmicky, but actually turned out to be a lot of fun) just make the game a great play-through. A big flaw that kept me from giving a 5-star rating is the games terrible framerate issues. Even without 3D on, the animations in battle suffer from very choppy movement. Actually turning 3D on renders an almost unplayable framerate. Another minor (but very annoying) gripe I had is that the new mode for fast traveling--rollerskates--cannot be turned off and are automatically used whenever you use the circle pad to move.

lots of new Pokemon, and lots of new fun, 2 main issues. 1. 3D is near unusable. there is no 3D outside of battles, and in battles, there is a significant loss of frame rate. Very disappointing. 2. In the attack selection menu, there is no way to rearrange moves in battle. This is stupid. it used to be done via pressing select. but rather than having select do that, select does nothing?!?! whats the point ?

Like all Pokemon games it was fun to play. I liked the graphics for the most part, the Pokemon were pretty cool, and I enjoyed the post game Looker quest. My biggest gripe with this game was Lumiose City. First, it is difficult to navigate and figure out where you are. Second the camera angle for the character made me want to hurl. Instead of having a birds eye view like the rest of the game the camera was placed right behind the character and it gave me motion sickness. Other problems were that it seemed way too short and that there was hardly anything to do post game, but those flaws werent too significant for me to care that much. Overall it is a good game and I would recommend it.

Love me some pokemon!! In all honesty I havent played the game since I was in high school before the purchase so this was my first taste of it some gens later. I have to say the game was very enjoyable; took my time beating it and getting used to all the new abilities and just atmosphere was fun and immersive. The 3-D effect on the game was very nice as well; was active on most all battles and random encounters; more so on trainer battles and gym leaders. Also some areas of the game were very well done to captivate the 3-D effect ( Elite Four gets a special mention here ) They also added some new things in the game I found useful like a new way to EV train in super training ( helps a big noob like myself out ), and the online GTS and the like works nicely to help trading pokemon and make it easy to find what you want with other people. Would say even for younger people it would be a nice pick-up as a gift as its easy to pick up as far as the gameplay and what your doing ( if it was designed as a gift idea ). All in all..nothing really bad I can say; a great game to pick up for the 3-D and a pretty fun Gen for what its worth and new things to explore.

I took a pretty big hiatus from the Pokemon games, skipping most generations post Gold/Silver to play Black fairly recently. Decided Id be buying this day one. Loved the main game, although the story was a bit lighter in content than White/Black. The post game was also fairly light and didnt provide much incentive to keep playing beyond catching some legendaries. Lots of lovely tunes, many of which where remixed or incorporated tunes from previous games, increasing my love of them tenfold. I felt like a little kid again playing this. The main game is also very easy. If you want a challenge at all, turn off EXP Share. I will say the framerate in battle can be pretty atrocious, especially with 3D on. It wont prevent you from playing, but it does make things distinctly less nice to look at.

Best game in the series since the original silver and gold. Only reason I wont give it 5 stars is that most of the game doesnt play in 3D. The battles are poorly done in 3D with very little depth and only a few sections actually use it well. Kind of a disappointing feature for a game system built to play 3D content. However the game itself is very good and thoroughly enjoyable.

The Next Evolution in Pokemon comes to Nintendo 3DS.
