> 3 dayThis was the first game I bought for my 3DS. I bought it last autumn as a treat for myself after passing my psychology midterm. I play this game the most out of my small game collection because after awhile, it gets a bit addicting. Because of the fast-paced storyline, the adorable (and bizzare) pokemon you can play with, and the amazing multiplayer compatibility, I can say with full confidence that this game rocks. Id recommenced this as a game for beginning to intermediate gamers, also for those who want to get into Pokemon but dont know where to start. The story is fun, but after you get the basic formulas down (fire beats grass, water beats fire, electricity beats water, etc.), battling isnt too terribly hard unless youre playing against a live opponent. Ive gotten to the point where I can play this before bed and continue to win even though Im too tired to keep my eyes open. However, because your pokemon can only learn 4 moves at a time (with limited times you can use each move), there is some basic strategy required, especially during the moments where you fight difficult bosses or other live players. And while the gameplay isnt that hard, its easy to get sucked into the mechanics of it all because each pokemon has specific trademark moves that makes for interesting battles. Unlike other pokemon games, you can actually interact, feed and play three different minigames (and a glitchy hidden minigame that uses your facial expressions as a playing piece) with your pokemon using the Pokemon-Amie feature. This allows you to feel close with the pokemon on your team. There is a lot of free-roaming allowed, and I have yet to discover all the hidden puzzles and treats left after beating the games story. One thing I want to mention though is that I dont see why the games so inconsistent with its 3D-capabilities. The majority of the game doesnt use the 3D option, but as soon as a battle starts or you enter a cave, you can use it. Also, there is an option for you as a player to customize your character. However, until you do a lot of side-questing in Luminose City, you wont be able to change your appearance, and even then theres a limited pallet. Still, you can buy outfits from each city you visit, so you can change clothes pretty early on. Overall, the games pretty fun and holds for nice challenges. Excuse me, for now I must be off. Gotta catch em all!

> 3 dayI took a pretty big hiatus from the Pokemon games, skipping most generations post Gold/Silver to play Black fairly recently. Decided Id be buying this day one. Loved the main game, although the story was a bit lighter in content than White/Black. The post game was also fairly light and didnt provide much incentive to keep playing beyond catching some legendaries. Lots of lovely tunes, many of which where remixed or incorporated tunes from previous games, increasing my love of them tenfold. I felt like a little kid again playing this. The main game is also very easy. If you want a challenge at all, turn off EXP Share. I will say the framerate in battle can be pretty atrocious, especially with 3D on. It wont prevent you from playing, but it does make things distinctly less nice to look at.

> 3 dayIll be honest, I have never been a huge fan of the Pokemon games. I always found their gameplay to be too repetitive and easy for my liking. To be fair though, I have only played the most recent ones and I heard that the older ones are tougher and pose more of a challenge for players. Unfortunately this one doesnt change the trend of being easier, but at the very least, it has a solid storyline and a fun and interesting region to explore bursting with charm. I especially loved exploring all the many different cafes in Lumiose City. Skating around that city gave me the illusion of true freedom. Along the way you will meet plenty of interesting characters who will make your journey more meaningful with each badge you collect. My only real problem besides the difficulty, is that there really isnt much of an end game in comparison to past Pokemon games. The game kind of fizzles out after the credits roll, which is unusual to me since I am pretty used to some splendid surprises from Nintendo games in particular. On the bright side though, the game boasts a very accessible and easy to use online trading system. You can choose to either trade one of your random Pokemon for another random one, or trade one of your specific Pokemon for another specific one. Very easy to use. There also happens to be something called a Battle Chateaux in the game which pits you against various trainers of various skill levels and allows you to rank up as well. I found these trainers to be the best way to level up my Pokemon personally. All in all, it is a very good Pokemon game that ties into the show of the same name very well. I just wish the series would become a little more hardcore in the future so I actually have a reason to want to come back and play another entry. There are more features in the game that I havent mentioned but you can go check those out for yourself. Great starting point for new fans!

> 3 dayThis game lived up to its hype when it came out. Made me buy a 3ds just to play this game and Id say it was absolutely worth it. Nowadays theres newer games but Id say that this game is still worth coming back around to do a casual playthrough. So many hours were sunk into breeding the perfect lucario (which totally happened) and now its one of my life achievements since a 6 IV perfect pokemon are so hard to get.

> 3 dayI started playing Pokemon when I was a kid (around 10 or 12), I had Pokemon Red, and Yellow, and I played it on my GBP and GBC, respectively. I think I even beat one of them, after putting countless hours of play into them. They were a ton of fun. After that, though, I lost interest in the series and moved on to other games. I have not played another Pokemon since. So its been about 15 years. When I saw that they brought back the original Pokemon into this game, I decided to pick it up and give it a try. After playing it for a few days, I am thoroughly impressed. The quality of the 3D world, the animations, the sounds, the dialogue, everything... its almost perfect. Every time I play Im excited not only to find the Pokemon that I grew up with, but also to discover new Pokemon that Ive never seen before. If youre considering this game, I highly recommend it, even if you havent been following the series that closely. I cant find one complaint about the game thus far. I believe that Pokemon X/Y is going to become the most popular / best selling Pokemon game of this generation.

> 3 daythere isnt really alot I can say that isnt laced with spoilers, however I will say one will find alot of old favorites, such as pikachu, ripe for the picking. the visuals are great, the gameplay is great, it sounds good and plays good. I will note, the game is not without issue, the 3d scenes, particularly in battles sometimes suffer from framerate drops when the 3d is active. simply sliding the slider down and shutting the 3d off fixes this and the game is quite playable in 2d mode. something I particularly like is the ability to link with other players and trade or battle over the internet, gone are the days where you absolutely HAD to be in the same room as the other person, be it for the old days of the link cable battle, or because the systems wireless has a short range. all in all, for long time fans of the franchise who have not played in a few years and are looking to get back into things..these are THE games to do it with.

> 3 dayLike all Pokemon games it was fun to play. I liked the graphics for the most part, the Pokemon were pretty cool, and I enjoyed the post game Looker quest. My biggest gripe with this game was Lumiose City. First, it is difficult to navigate and figure out where you are. Second the camera angle for the character made me want to hurl. Instead of having a birds eye view like the rest of the game the camera was placed right behind the character and it gave me motion sickness. Other problems were that it seemed way too short and that there was hardly anything to do post game, but those flaws werent too significant for me to care that much. Overall it is a good game and I would recommend it.

> 3 dayI just got my copy today and I havent gotten to play very much. What I have played is amazing! The graphics are such an improvement from Black2/White 2 its insane. The gameplay and battle scenes are so cool, I really enjoy the new style. I do think it will take some getting use to because it is SO different but I am looking forward to it. I really like that the starter pokemon come with a move for their type. I always thought it was really strange that they always just had those generic moves like scratch or tackle but they didnt have ember until they evolved high enough. I cant wait to experience the new reigon in this new game style!
