I love these filters, I do not run a protein skimmer and my tank is over 3 years old. My last tank was over 10 when I moved, but left it with the home I sold. So I just started this tank the same way and I love it. I have a 50 gallon with 2 HOB filters, with phosphate remover, purigen, and carbon. My tank is great and corals are growing well. I hate protein skimmers because they are a pain to get adjusted the the cup is always dirty and looks bad. Besides that, i like to leave for a week at a time and my tank is fine with a neighbor feeding the fish.

I have used this for years; it will filter your tank water better than most other filter media.

Great stuff! I run a portion of this filter pad once a month in my FX5 Polish tray. Does what it says it does and worth the money! I always keep this on hand.

I read somewhere that this works great and keeps the water clear. It really does! I have a 20 gallon fresh water tank.

Better than any filter.

I have a smaller tank of small shrimps with limited filtration, so having a small cube of the poly filter gives me confidence that my tank is good. I dont use this as a filter pad. I just let a small cube or two sit at the bottom of the tank. Shrimps seem to like cleaning algae bits off it.

Love this stuff. It does what it says it does. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive.
