I cannot give this repair kit enough stars. My 7 year old son had shattered his 3 year old iPad screen several months ago. The iPad still functioned although extremely difficult to see since the screen was a myriad of spiderweb lines and cracks. One of the top items he asked Santa to bring was a repaired screen or new iPad. This kit was ordered 2 days before Christmas and arrived on Christmas Eve as we had forgotten to order it and remembered at the absolute last minute. My husband was able to get the screen installed and working flawlessly in a little over an hour. Although tedious, the kit had EVERYTHING he needed to do the repair. Our son was SO Ecstatic and exclaimed that Santa really is magic and actually thought at first that it was a brand new iPad. I would order this kit in a heartbeat if, God forbid, this ever happens again. For $17.00, a 3 year old mini iPad looks and performs like a brand new one. I would give this kit a million stars if I could. This kit made my son and ourselves extremely happy. I was hesitant to purchase this because his iPad is black and this one is white, but it actually makes it look nicer. Once you put a good protective case on it, you cant tell its white anyway. A+++++

No chip for the smart cover to function for on/off. No oleophobic coating, it collects prints like the original iPhone and 3G. Doesnt work with polarized sunglasses as OEM screen when using the iPad in the landscape orientation.

Received the wrong digitizer, now have to go through process of returning.

Was a little bit skeptical as Ive have my screen replaced on my ipad mini 2 once already and it lasted for about 2 days before my 4 year old was somehow able to crack it again with 1/2 inch foam case on it. Dont fool yourself this is not up to apple quality, but for 22$ currently I cant really complain when similar from apple is roughly 200$ including install. For the last digitizer and install I paid 100$ for a local repair place and as mentioned quality was less than this and it had no logo on the home button. I would recommend a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the adhesive to make it easier to release but all in all with the assortment of tools that are included I had no need for anything else and took about an hour to do from start to finish. An small ice cube tray or ifixit makes a nice magnetic mat that can help keep the micro screws in order for ease of reassembly. The only thing that I think they could improve on is if they made pull tabs for removing the adhesive covering as it took a some finagling to get it off while the tablet was almost all reassembled, but that is just a minor gripe. I would also recommend putting a tempered glass screen protector just to add a little more strength since its not as durable as the original, I bought the anker one for 10$ and am please with it. Pros: all tools needed for the job, short of things that make it slightly easier like a hair dryer and parts tray has logo on the home button good fitmant price Cons: not as durable as the original, but for 22$ what can you expect adhesive covering is hard to remove

My kids continue to break their screens by being careless and kids. These screens fit great a work great, just be sure to clean the metal edge of iPad and get ALL the old glue off before applying this new one.

The home button has never fit correctly, just loose and now it doesnt even work.
