If youre a glutton for punishment using small tools and a steady hand (and about an hour of your life, if you know what youre doing), this is the kit to buy. Otherwise, spend the $120 at your local screen fix-it shop.

Ive purchased three different touch screens for two different iPad minis. This one worked without any issues. I cant say the same about the others.

I was tasked to fix my moms iPad Mini 1 and I chose the seller on Amazon with the highest rating yet cheapest price. I received the item promptly and opened the box. It was just the digitizer screen assembly. There were no tools whatsoever. No pry trool, no screw driver, no wipes, no suction tool, no tweezers, nothing. Luckily I had the same kind of tools from previous cell phone repairs Ive done in the past. With that said, the digitizer works without a problem. So for that Im thankful but Im not giving them a very good rating. But be warned, if you dont have the tools and you buy this, youre going to have to buy them separately.

This is not an exact replacement for iPad 3 mini. This replacement only have one IC chip connection and is missing the longer connector for the home button. See attached photo for the home button connector. Therefore the home button doesn’t work. Other than that, the screen works for iPad 3 mini.

Theres a reason why people make a lot of money replacing iPad screens. Its ridiculously difficult to get the old one off, especially if the broken one is shattered. Its hard to use the suction cups on broken glass, even after using packing tape to hold it together. Also, theres nowhere on any of the YouTube videos that I watched that tell you to disconnect the battery after disassembling. If you dont, youll blow a fuse and likely have to pay someone to solder a microscopic part for you (found on eBay.) The reason why Im giving this 3 stars is because the suction cups in this kit were not good at all. Everything else was good great. But what good is a new screen if you cant get the old one off?!?! My advice is to pay someone to do it for you. :)
