Greater than one weekThe razer ornata chroma keybard is quite possibly the best keyboard Ive ever used in terms of comfort, tactile feedback, and key height. Many people love the tall keys and long keystroke press on mechanical keyboards. However, for those people that prefer lower profile keys, and slightly less key travel, but still with a mechanical style click, sound and feedback, this is your keyboard. The key height is perfect for anyone who is used to any keyboard that is traditionally provided with most work stations, so there isnt the adjustment needed when going to full height keys on most mechanical keyboards. The keys are comfortable to use all day (for me) because they arent so tall and I dont have to adjust my typing style when moving from my work keyboard to this keyboard. The key press is incredibly satisfying. There is a mechanical soft click on every key press, giving you both auditory and tactile feedback that the key was depressed and released. However, its not a true mechanical switch, and it has a much softer feel than most mechanical keyboards. This, for me, is far more comfortable to use for long typing sessions, or when gaming/chatting online. It is the perfect combination of soft tactile and audio feedback that feels good while still being a membrane keyboard. The lighting is A+, as is to be expected of razer chroma products. There is not much more to be said about razer synapse, except that it is great software and allows you to fully customize the keyboard keys with macros, colors, and key assignments. My one gripe with this product is the wrist rest. It is soft and beautifully made, with magnets that keep it connected to the keyboard itself. However, the design is just wrong. It has sharp plastic edges that after hours of continuous use feels like its cutting into your wrists and palms. If they covered the front and sides of the wrist/palm rest with whatever it is they used on top, it would be perfect. That said, I had to buy the 3M wrist rest to replace it for long term comfort and usability. 4/5 stars. Will buy again when this one wears out.

Greater than one weekI have been using the original Ornata for over 3 years now, it works as expected. I have experience with true mechanical keyboards using blue and brown switches. The Ornata is definitely closer to the blue but quieter. Almost like a blue switch with the little o-ring silencers installed. However I wouldnt say its silent. Its definitely still got a bit of that mechanical sound and feel. What I like is that it has low profile key caps. I prefer laptop style keyboards but Im still fine with the Ornata. The backlighting and customization is fairly easy to use but it is a bit disconcerting when the LEDs are completely off. I prefer to use a solid dark red color without any other fancy blinking or effects. Although I am not a super hardcore gamer, COVID quarantine has me gaming a bit more than before. Its still holding up however I have noticed wear and tear on the left side of the wrist rest. I believe my watch has been rubbing on it heavily since I used the WASD keys a lot. Speaking of the wrist rest, it only connects magnetically and I wish it was a stronger connection. Seems to come off too easily.

> 3 dayAll my gaming peripherals are razer products. This is as good of quality as any other razer product at half the price. Low profile so it doesnt hurt your wrist and is very quiet compared to most gaming keyboards

> 3 dayThe keyboard is great when it comes to everyday gaming. Its buttons doesnt stall when clicked so I can get great apm on it. The sounds of the keys getting clicked can be a little annoying for some, and so does the wrist rest.

> 3 dayGood keyboard, very bright and pretty loud. Ive had it for around 2 days now and I found some damage in the material used to cover the shift key. Pretty lousy in my opinion but it is what it is.

> 3 dayI cannot rate this because I never used it. When I discovered that the wrist pad could not be attached I had to return it because of my particular setup (inside a desk drawer) requires the support. It would have been helpful had they mentioned this or shown a slight gap in the picture between pad and keyboard.

> 3 dayIve had this keyboard for a month after an unfortunate water accident ruined my old mechanical keyboard, I didnt notice this was a membrane keyboard and it took some getting used to BUT it functions OK, I had a little problem with one of the keys not wanting to function with a light touch but its seemed to fix its self. I DO notice that my D key is starting to lose its finish, the letter D is starting to flake off and show the clear medium underneath. I really like the magnetic wrist helper to straighten my arm while im playing games, will help a lot in the long run with repetitive motion injuries etc. The lighting is customizable and bright, I like the sound controls, its very handy.

> 3 dayIts never given me an ounce of trouble. I was able to increase from 118 to 124 wpm on it. The key placement is similar to a Dell. Ive always liked Dell keyboards for their layout, and the overall key placement feels familiar. I chose to give this 4 stars because the keys I use most often (after about three years now) are not as clicky as the ones I never touch. They almost feel like theyre broken in, but not in a bad way. I just worry this is a sign the keyboard wont last more than a few more years. A second issue I have noticed is the lack of comfort a left handed player. If you are hoping to use the arrow keys, period and comma to move, itll be a big stretch for your hand. I havent encountered significant issues, although I do not typically game for more than an hour or two at a time. Id imagine someone who plays more may get a sore hand after a while, though. Please note that while the light integration works well and as advertised, its not entirely impressive, nor is it noticeable while engaged in a game. Overall, its a quality keyboard that has increased my typing speed. It hasnt given me problems. Not entirely recommended if you use arrow keys, space and comma to move around in shooters. Have fun!

> 3 dayBe advised - this does not support NKRO which means you cannot hit more than 2 buttons at a time. If youre gaming with M&K this simply will not do. But if you are purchasing it for casual/work use it is acceptable for the price. My only real complaint is that the wrist rest is not magnetic. Id recommend spending a little bit more and purchasing the Steel Series Apex 3. The switches are quieter, supports NKRO, and has a magnetic wrist wrest. Its what this keyboard should be.
