> 3 dayI had a Death Adder and loved it but felt I needed more buttons as I wanted to get away from the reach of my G key macros from my keyboard. I felt I could be more efficient with the extra mouse buttons. I checked Amazon and ran across the Redragon lines. Unknown to me but they looked pretty good. I decided though I had some christmas gift cards from BB and I decided I loved my Adder so much why not go Naga. I tested it on the setup at BB and it felt alright albeit a bit smaller than the Adder but I went with it. I got home and within 20 minutes I seen my error. The shape of the naga is not the same as the Adder. What I mean the curvature of an Adder curves all the way to the mouse pad. The naga at the end of its curve has about a 1 drop to the mousepad. Very uncomfortable for my play style and worried long term use might cause issues in my wrist. I immediately took it back and got a new mechanical keyboard that I was planning on adding eventually so I could get the use out of my gift cards. This left me with still wanting a mouse so as soon as I got home I looked at Redragon again. I looked at the picture gallery of the mouse to see how its curvature worked. The pictures showed me it was similar to my Adder so I gave it a go. I got it a few days later as a Prime member so 5 stars on the shipping Amazon! The feel was close to my Adder. Not 100% which I never expected would be. It is slightly smaller in size but bigger than the Naga. What was important was the feel with the wrist. It feels great. Now that I got the feel lets get to the mouse dynamics: It has a ring finger rest. Not horrible just never have had one in the past. I feel I will get used to it. Dont get attached to the sound of 16400 DPI. If you can manage that kind of sensitivity you are beyond belief. That is just too much but thankfully it is highly adjustable. Mouse scroll feel good. Different than the adder but in a good way for me. Smoother without being too smooth. The mouse material is different for me as well. It is not distracting but I think if you get a sweaty palm or something else that causes your hand to want to slide it wont on this mouse. It is pretty subtle feel but you can sense it. The software that it comes with did not take long to figure out how to adjust. This is my first MMO mouse so it is a learning experience for me on side button configuration but I feel I got it on lock down now. The red button on the left of your left click button if your a first person shooter is an amazing burst fire. Instead of mash and hold and having a bad spray pattern this will have you in tight shape. The chord is that expensive mouse style of braided quality. If your into that then you will be happy. Every bit as good as my Adder. If your not well that is just how the more expensive ones seem to be now. Now the final part which is why I took the star off is the 12 button side buttons. If you were to sit the mouse on its side and looked at the angles of the buttons they form a contour in the shape of a w 1-6 no prob to get to but 7-12 take effort to be accurate. Luckily I dont think I will need to get that deep into them. I have them bound right now to the least needed abilities but it is clunky to do regardless. The buttons are not difficult to press but they are just your typical buttons. The Naga has mechanical these are not. To me that is no big issues. I only deducted the star for the difficulty of the back 6. I hated doing so but want to give an accurate depiction of the mouse. Finally the biggest thing that almost gave it back that 5th star is the price. Naga 65-70 and Logitech is up there as well for their MMO mouse you cannot beat the price tag of the Redragon. So in conclusion if you are debating whether to take a chance on it over the bigger names of Razer or Logitech to name a few then do so. It is a great mouse thus far after a week of use. If it changes I will readjust but thus far I am very satisfied.

> 3 dayIve used this mouse for over three years now and its still going strong. I recommend it every time someone I game with is looking for a new mouse but doesnt want to shell out for the big brands. The software is a little clunky but you get used to it. I love being able to have different profiles for all the buttons: I have one profile for boring work stuff (copy, paste, find... I even put in a macro with like 20 keys one time when I had to fill out a form 100+ times just with different employee names). My other profiles are for different characters in a video game that doesnt allow custom keybinds per character, so at least I can easily rearrange the ones on my mouse via the profiles. The removable weights are amazing. If you are feeling too much drag when you first get the mouse, try taking out some of the weights. And the little plastic case is great as Ive moved cross-country with this mouse twice now. The ONLY real complaint I have is that most of the surface is very lightly textured therefore difficult to clean. I contacted Redragon asking if one of their newer models is a more matte surface as it appeared in pictures but they told me that they cant compare products since they are just the seller not the manufacturer (huh?! sellers compare their products all the time...)

> 3 dayThis is a great replacement for my Utech Smart Venus and slightly cheaper too in terms of price. Unfortunately as much as I love the Utech Smart mouse it started having mechanical problems with that double/triple-clicking and it does affect game-play which is very annoying. Hopefully the Red Dragon M901 would last me more than 2 years compared to the Utech Smart Venus. I like the packaging for the Red Dragon M901 as its small unlike most mouse packaging out there while they all look nice I just want to throw them in the garbage anyway because they are usually too big but this one is worth keeping because it doesnt take up too much space. This mouse is a little smaller and the left and right mouse button clicks doesnt feel as satisfying as the Utech Smart. But it works great and I do like that coarse material feel on the mouse. Also its very comfortable to handle even on long hours of game time. The driver while it almost looks the same as Utech Smarts driver is a little clunky to configure. It took me about 15 min. to figure out how to properly activate the breathing settings for the Red Dragons light. Also minor complaint that the mouse wheel light doesnt breath like Utech Smart, with the Red Dragon only the numeric side button lights + the Red Dragon logo light that does the breathing. I would have enjoyed it more if all the lights breath but its not a deal breaker imo just subjective preference. What I really didnt like about this mouse is the preset buttons I think Utech Smart did that right with a more balanced DPI presets. This one needs more work in that regard thats why I recommend doing manual settings on the driver so you can set your own desired DPI otherwise the mouse sensitivity from the presets would either be too weak that the pointer barely moves even if you slide the mouse all the way to the side or too strong where the pointer flies all over the screen and you barely even move it. If you play slow paced games 4000-5000 DPI is fine but if youre playing MOBAs, RTS or FPS that require faster reflexes then you can set the DPI as high as 24000 if youre that good. Even though I sound like Im panning the Red Dragon M901 more than Im giving it credit I still like this one a lot and it gets the job done and I would say its a very competitive contender to other MMO mouse such as the Razer Naga and Utech Smart Venus.

Greater than one weekI have tried multiple mice with the 12 thumb buttons. I did not like them Buttons too soft, cheap feeling, ect... This Red Dragon Perdition is hands down the best I have used. Great for all the extra buttons needed for Fort Night. Buttons have a good textile feel, but not clicky or loud. ALL buttons are programmable, including the DPI buttons. AWESOME! Because once I got my DPI set where I want I reassign those 2 buttons for reloading, freeing up another more convenient button for something else. This is my second one. First one lasted about 2-2.5 years and the only thing happened is the red rapid fire button stopped working. I use that for my interact button, opening doors and picking stuff up. So it is a well used button. Every day, sometimes all day long. Very easy to program macros and different profiles for Fort Night, PubG, COD ect... I used the first one so much I wore out 3 sets of pads on the bottom. Finally I took drops of epoxy and made pads that dont wear out. Having the custom weights are a big help. I use all of them. Makes a smoother pivot and better pin point stops when micro aiming. If its too light its hard to control as well. My only complaint is the cord. Its a nice, sturdy cord. Braided and high quality. But these braided cords are stiff. I would like a cord that is more like a wet noodle. But there is no corded gaming mouse with a soft noodle like cord so have to live with it. No latency at all, the mouse is as smooth as silk. Highly recommend for gaming.

Greater than one weekBy far this has been the greatest peripheral purchase I have made. To start things off I purchased this originally in February of 2014 so I have had this for over 5 years at this point and I am finally just starting to have problems now after heavy daily use since I purchased it. At the time of purchase it was around $47 dollars and I would spend double that on this mouse. Now at $30 dollars this is an absolute no brainer. Durability: 10/10 I definitely beat this mouse up, after daily use for 5 years it’s held up very strong, the body of the mouse is very sturdy, one time I carelessly pulled it out of my backpack forcefully and the left click caught on to something and snapped the plastic right off. This was completely my fault though. To my surprise I was able to superglue it exactly in to place and you can’t even tell it ever broke and the left click has been working exactly as it had been. The Teflon pads are now worn down and scratched, but I also hadn’t used a mousepad for 4/5 of those years and that probably caused a considerable amount of wear, regardless that kind of wear can be expected after 5 years of heavy use. The braided cable has held up extremely well also. It comes with weights and you can customize how heavy you want the mouse, and a nice little case to store the weights you don’t use. The macro buttons are the reason I purchased this mouse. I never use the burst fire button for anything because I feel it’s a little out of reach for normal use, I think at one point I had it set as the microphone mute/unmute. The 12 number keys on the side are a joy. They are perfectly angled so that you know exactly which button you aren’t pressing and it didn’t take long to get used to it. Comparatively I purchased a used Razer naga epic to have as a backup, and I tried it out for a bit and I just couldn’t use it, the buttons were bigger, but completely flat and I never knew which buttons I was pressing and they were harder to reach all of them. Having the macro buttons increased productivity by a huge margin. For keys 1-4 I use those for gaming, 1,2,3 are just set to the numbers to say switch weapons in a game. I have 4 set to use my microphone so I don’t need to move any of my fingers on the keyboard that affects my movement. For 5 I have it set to ctrl, which I mainly use for single hand zooming by holding 5 and then using the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Sometimes I use it for other shortcuts but I’m generally more used to pressing the key combinations on the keyboard anyway. 6 has been probably the single most useful key for me as I set it to “show desktop” which gives me an easy way to instantly minimize everything and clear clutter up. This is especially helpful when in games and you need to see your desktop. And I find it way more useful than alt tabbing. The remainder of the 6 keys I have set to strictly media, being volume up and down, mute, then play/pause, previous, next track and this gives me total control of my music and sound with one hand. The possibilities are endless with the macros and I found this to be the best for my use case. The software itself is slightly cumbersome and wonky, but it still works, and once you set it once, it gets stored on the mouse itself so you can move it from computer to computer and all of the settings will stay the same, which is also a huge plus. The software is still extremely powerful though and there is a lot you can do. Rgb is always a plus and definitely wasn’t as common in 2014 when I purchased this mouse. For my hands the mouse is extremely comfortable. Although I haven’t compared to too many different mouses, I’ve always found this one to feel the most natural. The mouse input has always been extremely snappy, and I feel like other mice don’t have that extra oomph of responsiveness. So just now after over 5 years of owning it, I am having some usb connectivity issues. Sometimes the mouse will randomly shut off and reconnect. Even then it does not happen extremely often but it is still probably a sign that it is close to the end of its life. However my expectations have been exceeded, and it’s great knowing that it’s even cheaper than when I first bought it, and definitely plan on replacing it with this mouse again. Even before I started having problems I have been wanting to purchase a second one of these just so I wasn’t moving it around all the time because it’s the only mouse I’ve wanted to use over the past 5 years. Also less time transporting it would probably mean less wear and tear on it. This mouse has definitely taken a beating while transporting it. Plenty of times it has been dropped on hard floors and it has survived this long.

> 3 dayTrying to find a mouse that actually just works on any random surface these days is difficult, without going over-the-top for competition-grade gaming mice. This mouse is the best Ive found for the money so far that doesnt get confused on all but the glossiest surfaces. Also, the mouse wheel has not failed (i.e. you turn the wheel but it doesnt register as turning), and doesnt seem like it will at over two years since purchase. That has been a hugely disturbing trend lately with several recent mice Ive had. Typical surfaces I use: 1. My leg, while sitting on the couch, whether in jeans, sweats, or on my skin in shorts, this mouse actually just works. 2. On cushions/fabric, using the mouse off to my right on the couch itself while seated on the couch. 3. On a typical table or desk surface - as long as its not glass or completely glossy, even ones that stump other mice I have work, like a white plastic, textured 6x3 foot fold-out table I have - the surface isnt mouse friendly, but I have no problems. 4. Any random surface while using a laptop. I wont guarantee this will work on a glass-top desk - you may need a mouse pad for that one. It DOES NOT work on the 100% glossy black monitor stand from one of my monitors. Works fine on brushed aluminum and other semi-glossy surfaces. Other features: * Good feel to it * I havent messed with DPI settings - tend to set it and forget it on those * The weights - I just leave them all in and thats good for me. * The MMO buttons - Id prefer a smaller number, actually, I tend to just use 1 or 2 of them on games, but I havent MMOd lately either (wish I had this back when I did). That being said, they work fine. Buttons 7-12 are a bit far back - at least with my hand, its a bit awkward to reach back for them, but I never use them so I dont know if they are okay for rarely used functions or not. The 1-6 keys are fine, but I usually stick to 1 and 2. One benefit of fewer buttons would be that each one would be bigger - they are a little small to pick out individual keys with my big thumb.

> 3 dayThis mouse is absolutely fantastic. In fact, I wouldnt really even call it a mouse as much as I would call it a Laptop Remote Control. You can program it to do pretty much anything on your computer, from assigning simple keys, to key-combos, to programming entire macros on it. What I love about it, however, is the unique customization. My ring finger tends to rest on the right click button, which is very annoying because often, I will bring up the right click menu when I dont want to. With this mouse, I am able to disable the right click for when Im surfing and assign it to another button altogether. In addition, I like to use the scroll wheel to travel pages over using the sidebar. With this mouse you can ramp up the speed of the scroll to get through content lightning fast. I lay in the bed using my laptop and mouse, so often, Ill have to switch from my mouse back to the laptop keyboard when I want to execute a function. With this mouse, I can program it to a point where I can handle almost every function directly into the mouse, so I dont have to go back to the keyboard unless I want to write something. It makes everything I do faster and easier. And with five different profiles you can set, I can create entirely different profiles for whatever Im doing. I just got it yesterday, so I have only set up one profile for web browsing and one for when Im viewing media. But, I will make another one for when Im doing my work, and another for when Im gaming online. (On an aside, I cant wait to set up my gaming profile, as I can already tell, instead of having to jump around the keyboard, I can bring all of my hot-keys right into the range of my thumb on the mouse.) It has so many buttons and so much customization, it can handle all of it with ease. I wish I had known a mouse like this existed before. As someone who is ALWAYS on his computer, this mouse is a serious game changer. Ill never be able to go back to a regular mouse again. I wont be able to even use a gaming mouse if it doesnt have 12 buttons on the side, anymore. Its almost perfect. If you pressed me to find one complaint about the mouse (that cant be changed through customization), its the red trigger button on the left of the mouse. Its very awkward to try and shift your finger to hit it naturally. I assign it the least used functions on my profiles. For example, I moved my right-click menu to it, so Ill only access it when I really want to. But, thats a small trifle. Other than that, theres just really nothing negative that can be said about this mouse.

> 3 dayIn 2014 I was looking for a good new mouse and stumbled upon this. It seemed almost too good to be true: a <$40 mouse with crazy high DPI and a crazy amount of buttons? Yet early reviews and indications said itd be worth a shot, so I went ahead and got it. Almost two years later, its still doing its job. Theres two main questions that I thought of at the time and now have an answer to them. 1) Are all the buttons necessary? No, not at all. Even when playing a couple MMOs, I struggle to get over 12. Im no expert player but Im above average and certainly competent. What it did teach me though was that 8 buttons is the minimum I now can accept: left/right/middle clicks, back/forward/refresh buttons, enter, alt tab. Once you get used to that, its almost impossible to go back. Others useful but not-as-essential functions may include cut/copy/paste, print, save, and some media controls. Once you get the hang of it 12+ buttons isnt useful for just MMOs, its useful for everyday browsing and multi-tasking. 2) Is 16400 DPI really necessary? Also not at all. Even by todays standards thats still considered freakishly high and Im not so good that I can control that speed in an FPS. But 4000, 8000? Ive managed with that and now use them regularly, for everything. The biggest perk of all: It costs less than $40. Its a jack of all trades that surpasses the standard of doing everything okay and manages to succeed at doing everything things well. The only pieces of improvement I can think of are that it has no left/right scrolling and that middle clicking can be a bit stiff. The latter is easily resolved (use another button) and the former just needs to be gotten used to. It can be partially mitigated a higher DPI level too, depending on your task. The biggest expectation I had after trying to a few months was that itd die on me in under a year. Now Im coming up on two and its still working great. At the price point its at, its a no brainer.

19-11-2024For the price, you cant beat it. It doesnt feel quite as high quality as my old logitech, but it actually works, unlike the logitech. I like the programmable fire button on the left side of the top of the mouse. The only real aspect that I dont like that much is the fact that the color for the LED on the scroll wheel is not linked to the LEDs for the rest of it. That light changes with the DPI profile you are using, with choices between yellow, blue, pink, green and red. So, if you want to match everything up, you have to set the DPI you will usually use to the corresponding color that you want. It would be much better if there were an option in the included software to link the scroll LED color with the rest of the LEDs. You can also set the rest of the LEDs to any color you can think of, but not the scroll wheel. It works on every surface I have tried. It works on glossy surfaces, rough surfaces, mouse pads (obviously), pant legs, my face (which I just tried because I was thinking of places to test it), carpet, etc. Most of the people reading these reviews are probably worried about the durability of such a cheap mouse. Well, I plugged mine in on 8/9/2016 and as of 12/11/2016, it still works and looks exactly as it did when I first purchased it. I use it quite a bit because not only am I a gamer, I do a lot of work at home right on this computer. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. Update 10/30/2018 After over two years, the mouse is at the end of its life. A few months ago, the scroll wheel started randomly not responding. Today, the whole mouse shuts off randomly. It will work fine, then suddenly all the LEDs shut off, and the mouse completely stops working. After a second or two, it comes back. Ive tried it on more than one computer and it does the same thing. Two years isnt a terrible life for a cheap mouse, but its not spectacular. I guess Ill leave it at four stars simply because of the price.
