Outstanding product- I bought two of these six years ago (one as a backup) and I just today replaced the original. I use it for a bird cage (with a dimmer) approx six months per year so I figure something like 26,000 hours for the original. Not bad at all. Now I have to order another backup. Definitely worth the money for the life you get from it.

We have a tortoise which comes from the desert. It is not good to let Ali, her name, to get to cold. We put this on her during the winter and we do not have to keep the heater high. She is happy and we are too.

I use these for my hedgehogs, and they all love it! These are a must have in the winter time if you have hedgehogs! I also started using this in my bearded dragon tank for heat only (meaning he now has 3 lights). To be honest -- my electric bill has went up quite a bit, but it is totally worth it knowing my animals are being heated well!
